The Land Tenure data set contains a representation of the commonly accepted land tenure classifications for Tasmania. Tenure Classifications include Crown Land, Private Land, Local Government and other Statutory Authority Land, Reserved Land, Conservation Covenants, Private Reserves, Permanent Timber Production Zone Land (formerly State Forest). Future Potential Production Forest (FPPF) land is also distinguished where it overlaps Crown and HEC land. This dataset depicts the full extent of classifications and as some or coastal reserve boundaries extend to Low Water Mark, and in some cases include areas of estuary or sea. These classifications generally conform to those represented on the TASMAP Land Tenure Map.

This dataset is retained for historical purposes only. The Forestry (Rebuilding the Forest Industry) Act 2014 repealed the Tasmanian Forest Agreement Act 2013 on the 22nd October 2014. As a result, the category of Future Reserve Land no longer exists. The Tasmanian Forests Agreement Act 2013 is the Tasmanian legislative implementation of the Tasmanian Forests Intergovernmental Agreement 2011 between the State & Federal Governments. The Act defines the land to which it applies by reference to registered plan (CPR9580) and describes by schedule how it deals with each lot on that plan. Each feature is attributed with Lot number, Area in hectares, Proposed reserve order & Plan reference

The Tasmanian Reserve Estate dataset is a digital map of the Reserve System for Tasmania. It represents land reserved to be managed for biodiversity conservation under Tasmania's Regional Forest Agreement (RFA) and other instruments.
