The Tasmanian Reserve Estate dataset is a digital map of the Reserve System for Tasmania. It represents land reserved to be managed for biodiversity conservation under Tasmania's Regional Forest Agreement (RFA) and other instruments. The Forestry Leases data set holds spatial areas of land under current lease from Sustainable Timber Tasmania (STT) within the State of Tasmania. These leases are administered by Sustainable Timber Tasmania. State Forest Leases are attributed with a STT Agreement Id and a Valuation Id (PID). This dataset is maintained only when advised by STT.

Data Description A set of supplementary information to the Forestry Residues layers: • Production Forests: a raster dataset displays the 2015 extent of production forest available for commercial use across Tasmania, and; • Wood Processing Facility: a point dataset displays the primary wood processor facility locations across Tasmania for 2017. This information has been collated for the Australian Biomass for Bioenergy Assessment (ABBA) project and will be available for use on the Australian Renewable Energy Mapping Infrastructure (AREMI) platform, to build a national map to service the renewable energy sector.

Regional Forest Agreements (RFAs) are long-term Commonwealth–state agreements for the conservation and sustainable management of specific regions of Australia’s native and plantation forests. This dataset defines the areas that were supplied by states for the Regional Forest Agreements process and includes RFA regions in New South Wales, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia, and for Queensland a Comprehensive Regional Assessment region. This dataset is designed to support and enable Commonwealth reporting specified in the _National Forest Policy Statement_, the _Regional Forest Agreements Act 2002_, and to fulfil requirements under the _Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999_.
