Gridded Near-Surface Wind Data for Australia
Gridded near-surface (2 and 10 m) daily average wind datasets for Australia from 1975 to 2018 have been constructed by interpolating observational data collected by the Australian Bureau of Meteorology (BoM). The new datasets span Australia at 0.05 × 0.05° resolution with a daily time step. The datasets were constructed by blending observational data collected at various heights using local surface roughness information.

Gridded Observed Meteorological Data, 1950-1999
공공데이터포털
These daily gridded observations at 1/8 degree spatial resolution (about 12 km) are a baseline dataset to be compered to downscaled climate predictions. The grid used is the same as has been used by other 1/8th degree spatial resolution downscaling projects. Before using this dataset, please review the material summarized here: https://my.usgs.gov/confluence/display/GeoDataPortal/2014/04/16/Notice%3A+Evaluation+of+Maurer+gridded+observational+datasets+and+their+impacts+on+downscaled+products

Gridded Observed Meteorological Data: 1949-2010
공공데이터포털
These daily gridded observations at 1/8 degree spatial resolution (about 12 km) are a baseline dataset to be compered to downscaled climate predictions. The grid used is the same as has been used by other 1/8th degree spatial resolution downscaling projects. The updated data were processed exactly as in the reference above with the single exception of the precipitation time-of-observation adjustment. For this updated dataset, if a meteorological station has a time of observation before noon, the precipitation is assigned to the prior day, otherwise no adjustment is made. Before using this dataset, please review the materials here: https://my.usgs.gov/confluence/display/GeoDataPortal/2014/04/16/Notice%3A+Evaluation+of+Maurer+gridded+observational+datasets+and+their+impacts+on+downscaled+products

Wind Stress Monthly Mean Fields in the Australian Region
공공데이터포털
This 'Wind stress of Australia' dataset was derived from global coverage 'netCDF' files produced by the National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) Re-analysis Project. The means are calculated for the 23 year period from 1976 to 1998 inclusive. The National Center for Environmental Prediction and the National Center for Atmospheric Research are re-analysing the last 40 years of global met. data using present methods to produce a best-possible hindcast of atmospheric conditions through that period. The grid spacing is 1.875 deg Longitude by (about) 1.9 deg Latitude.
Droughty Hill Wind Readings - Tasmanian Earth Resources Satellite Station (1995 - 2011)
공공데이터포털
These wind statistics data are collected continuously at the Tasmanian Earth Resources Satellite Station (TERSS) facility on Droughty Hill near Hobart on Tasmania's south east coast. Data collection began in September 1995 and continued to Dec 2011. Instrument Details: Location: latitude -42.9256, longitude 147.4206, ground elevation 150m, instrument 7 metres above ground. Manufacturer: R.M. Young Company. Traverse City, Michigan 49686 U.S.A. 616-946-3980 (http://www.youngusa.com) Model: Wind Monitor, model 05103V (See link to brochure). Data: Each line of data gives values reduced from samples collected every second over the preceding 10 minutes. Parameters include: Date; Time (UTC); Mean wind speed; Minimum wind speed; Maximum wind speed; Mean direction; Standard deviation of the previous 10 1-minute direction averages; Vector averaged wind speed; Vector averaged wind direction; Vector averaged "stress" in (m/s)**2; Vector averaged stress direction. The code that takes the one second readings and produces the 10 minute averages in the data files is available via the documentation links section). NOTE: This data is collected in order to assist in the daily management of the satellite dish. The instrument is located at a site to suit this particular purpose, not at a location that would provide the best statistics for other purposes.
Missouri High Resolution Wind Resource
공공데이터포털
A shapefile of annual average wind resource potential for Missouri, United States at a 50 meter height. This data set has been validated by NREL and wind energy meteorological consultants. *Note*: This data is not suitable for micro-siting potential development projects. This shapefile was generated from a raster dataset with a 200 m resolution, in a UTM zone 15, datum WGS 84 projection system. The wind power resource estimates were produced by AWS TrueWind using their MesoMap system and historical weather data under contract to Wind Powering America/NREL. This map has been validated with available surface data by NREL and wind energy meteorological consultants. For updated gridded long-term average wind data please see the "Global Wind Atlas" resource below. For more information on NREL's wind resource data development, see the "Wind Integration National Dataset (WIND) Toolkit" and the "WIND Toolkit Long-Term Ensemble Dataset" resources.
