Gulf of Carpentaria Depth and Sediment Data 1989-1990
공공데이터포털
On the FRV Southern Surveyor cruise SS3/90, 108 stations throughout the Gulf of Carpentaria were sampled for sea temperature, salinity, water depth, and sediment grain size. Data was also collected from the 1989-1990 "Jacqueline D" cruises and from commercial trawlers. Relevant rainfall, wind and temperature data were obtained from the Meteorological Bureau.
Hydrographic Data from the Gulf of Carpentaria ("Hydrographic Atlas") 1976-1977
공공데이터포털
Hydrographic data from six cruises, between April 1976 and March 1977 in the Gulf of Carpentaira are presented. Physical quantities (temperature, salinity and sigma-t) and chemical properties (dissolved oxygen, nitrate and silicate) were measured, and are presented in an associated report both as values at the stations and as contour maps. These cruises began in 1975 with the initiation of the CSIRO Tropical Prawn Research Project, a new series of Gulf-wide cruises undertaken to study the larval ecology of penaeid prawns. Approximately 70 stations were occupied on each cruise (with the exception of KL 7/76 which made only three transects in the southern Gulf). Two types of hydrographic stations were undertaken. Type 'A' stations consisted of Nansen casts with bottles every 10m from the surface to the bottom, sampling temperature, salinity, oxygen, nitrate plus nitrite, nitrogen and silicate. Type 'B' stations were Nansen casts with three bottles (at the surface, at 10m depth and within 10m of the bottom) sampling the same parameters as the Type 'A' stations. The sigma-t values were calculated from the temperature and salinity values, and the percentage of oxygen saturation was calculated from the oxygen concentration, temperature and salinity data. The difference between surface and bottom values was also calculated for all properties. The six cruises included: FRV Kalinda: KL 4/76 April 1976 KL 7/76 June 1976 KL 9/76 September 1976 FV Judy B: JB 2/76 November 1976 FV Raptis Pearl: TP 1/77 January 1977 RV Sprightly: TP 3/77 March 1977
Gulf of Carpentaria Prawn Data - MX (Maxim) Dataset 1983-1985
공공데이터포털
This dataset is the result of a series of trawl surveys carried out aboard F.V. Maxim between August 1983 and March 1985 in the NW Gulf of Carpentaria, north of Groote Eylandt. The main reference is by Somers et al (1987) - see References link below. It details the gear, methods, study area, etc. The data collected included abundance and size composition of the commercial species of penaeids together with data on hydrology at the time of sampling, across 60 stations. Reproductive stage, moult stage, and parasites were also recorded. Cruises were carried out every four weeks centred around the new moon period.
Hydrography and primary productivity data from GYRE and SUNCOASTER in the Gulf of Mexico as part of the MMS Southwest Florida Shelf Ecosystems Study from 1982-04-02 to 1982-09-18 (NCEI Accession 8400049)
공공데이터포털
This dataset includes hydrography and primary productivity data collected from GYRE and R/V SUNCOASTER in the Gulf of Mexico as part of the Southwest Florida Shelf Ecosystems Study (Year 2, Modification No. 1) from 4/2/82 to 9/18/82. Data has been processed by NODC to the NODC standard High-Resolution CTD/STD (F022) and Primary Productivity 2 (F049) formats. The F022 format contains high-resolution data collected using CTD (conductivity-temperature-depth) and STD (salinity-temperature-depth) instruments. As they are lowered and raised in the oceans, these electronic devices provide nearly continuous profiles of temperature, salinity, and other parameters. Data values may be subject to averaging or filtering or obtained by interpolation and may be reported at depth intervals as fine as 1m. Cruise and instrument information, position, date, time and sampling interval are reported for each station. Environmental data at the time of the cast (meteorological and sea surface conditions) may also be reported. The data record comprises values of temperature, salinity or conductivity, density (computed sigma-t), and possibly dissolved oxygen or transmissivity at specified depth or pressure levels. Data may be reported at either equally or unequally spaced depth or pressure intervals. A text record is available for comments. The F049 format contains data from measurements of photosynthetic capacity and phytoplankton productivity. In addition to cruise information, position, date, time, sampling depths, bottom depth, and general environmental information, this file may contain measured parameters including: concentrations of chlorophylls a, b, c, plant carotenoids, and phaeo-pigments; concentrations of oxygen, particulate organic carbon, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, silicate, and urea; temperature, salinity, and total alkalinity; and light penetration and light intensity. Values of photosynthetic capacity and primary productivity may be reported as total values or partial values for phytoplankton, net plankton, nano-plankton, and dissolved organic matter.

공공데이터포털
This dataset contains data from measurements of primary productivity. The data are collected to provide information on nutrient levels and nutrient flow in offshore areas. In addition to cruise information, position, date, time, sampling depths, bottom depth, and environmental information, this file may contain measured parameters including: concentrations of nutrients such as phosphate, nitrate, silicate, and ammonia; temperature and salinity; and carbon assimilation. Measurements of chlorophyll a, phaeopigment, and carbon assimilation may be reported as integrated values. A free-text record is available for comments.
Albatross Bay Primary Productivity Data 1988-1992
공공데이터포털
Between February 1988 and February 1992 the FRV Jacqueline D completed nine cruises, seven in summer, two in winter, in Albatross Bay in the north-east Gulf of Carpentaria. Two stations, one 10m deep, the other at 25m, were sampled. Mean chlorophyll levels and primary productivity in the water column were measured.

Primary productivity derived from ocean color remote sensing
공공데이터포털
Ocean color remote sensing provide routine, synoptic observations of the ocean surface at spatial and temporal resolutions not attainable by moored or ship-based platforms. Ocean color sensors measure the spectral distribution of reflected sunlight, which can be used to infer the contents of the water, including chlorophyll a concentrations, a proxy for phytoplankton biomass. Phytoplankton are the base of the marine food web and are critical regulators of key biogeochemical processes. Primary productivity esimates are modeled using chlorophyll a, photosynthetic available radiation, and sea surface temperature.
