The passenger boardings for each route on the ACTION network - not including school services

Provides the average number of passenger boardings per trip by service type by month on the Transport Canberra network for 2016-17. The service types in the current public transport network include: Rapid services - Public transport corridors for all day, high speed travel across the city along dense corridors. Currently includes the Blue and Red Rapid services. Frequent Local services – Local services in areas of current or future denser development, including some group centres. This type of service will connect to rapid services at bus stations and town centre nodes for longer trips. Currently includes the Green, Gold and Weston Line routes. Peak Express services – Direct service from residential or Park and Ride facility to major employment destinations. This type of service is supplementary and does not compete with Rapid services. Currently includes the Xpresso routes. Coverage services – Local and feeder services in lower density areas away from the 'Frequent Network'. These services are provided for reasons of inclusion rather than patronage. The 'Frequent Network' comprises of Rapid and Frequent Local services.

Provides the average number of passenger boardings by month broken down by stop and hour for July 2020 - June 2021. Patronage is measured through unique boardings recorded in the MyWay ticketing system on scheduled services. This includes boardings by passengers with MyWay cards and passengers who choose to purchase a ticket or transfer on board a vehicle. This dataset excludes passenger boardings on dedicated school routes. Data was sourced from the MyWay ticketing system which records passenger validations and cash sales using the netBI business intelligence software.

Patronage is measured through unique boardings recorded in the MyWay ticketing system on scheduled services. This includes boardings by passengers with MyWay cards and passengers who choose to purchase a ticket or transfer on board a vehicle. This dataset excludes passenger boardings on dedicated school routes. Data was sourced from the MyWay ticketing system which records passenger validations and cash sales using the netBI business intelligence software.

Data was sourced from the MyWay ticketing system which records passenger validations and cash sales using the netBI business intelligence software.

The file contains patronage on the ACTION Bus Network, as recorded by the MyWay ticketing system, for the financial years 2011-12, 2012-13 and 2013-14. Patronage is also broken down by ticket type used, either MyWay Smart Card or a Paper Ticket (on bus cash fare).

This dataset contains daily Public Transport Patronage in types of passengers including adults, school students, tertiary, concession, and other. Paper tickets purchased from Ticket Vending Machines are not included. Note: Due to delays in data processing, the final number may take up to three days to accurately report on all passenger boardings.
