Land District Charts are the Land District (County) working charts used in the former Lands Department to record the granting and alienation of land. Land Grant information is depicted on these together with additional references relating to the gazettal, reservation granting, acquisition and leasing of Crown Land. These charts have been georeferenced and mosaiced into a single statewide ECW file.

LIST Authority Land is a subset of the LIST Cadastral Parcels layer. It portrays parcels of land owned, vested or managed by a Commonwealth, State or Local Government Authority or Government Business Enterprise. Categories include Housing Tasmania, Hydro Tasmania, Councils, Education, Forestry Tasmania, TAS Water, Defense etc. Authority Land attributes are the same as for LIST Cadastral parcels and include the authority name, title reference and property identifier (PID).

The LIST Local Government Areas data set depicts gazetted Local Government Boundaries for the 29 Municipalities in the State of Tasmania. These were proclaimed in 1993. Since then there has only been a couple of very minor adjustments to these boundaries to conform to gazetted amendments. Local Government Boundaries legally extend to Low Water Mark and include offshore rocks and islands adjacent to the coastline, irrespective of where the digital boundary may portray. Attributes include Local Government Area name, three-digit Municipal (LGA) code and Central Plan Register (CPR) plan reference number.

The Land Tenure data set contains a representation of the commonly accepted land tenure classifications for Tasmania. Tenure Classifications include Crown Land, Private Land, Local Government and other Statutory Authority Land, Reserved Land, Conservation Covenants, Private Reserves, Permanent Timber Production Zone Land (formerly State Forest). Future Potential Production Forest (FPPF) land is also distinguished where it overlaps Crown and HEC land. This dataset depicts the full extent of classifications and as some or coastal reserve boundaries extend to Low Water Mark, and in some cases include areas of estuary or sea. These classifications generally conform to those represented on the TASMAP Land Tenure Map.

The ACT Districts Boundaries are a region defined for land administration and the legal description of land parcels. In urban areas districts contain divisions, sections and blocks. In rural areas they contain blocks only. The boundaries of districts are defined in metes and bounds form in the Districts Act 1966, and thus cannot be changed without changes to the legislation. The LIST Land Parish Boundaries data set contains those 480 administrative divisions of Land Districts (formerly known as Counties). A number of Parishes combine to form a Land District. Parishes have historically, and are still, being used together in conjunction with Land Districts when describing the location of a Grant. This dataset has been compiled from historic sources and has not been verified. It is not authoritative.

Tasmania was separated into seven regions for the purposes of land system mapping for the period 1978-1989. Non-unique land systems were developed based on six descriptor classes (geological period, geological rock type, rainfall, vegetation, elevation, and differences in dominant soils. Within each land system, land components are described which present examples of soil and vegetation variation across topographic sequences (proportion estimates, but unmapped boundaries). Land Systems are considered to have a nominal scale of 1:100 000. Regions were mapped separately (as below), and amalgamated to form a digital statewide coverage: Land Systems of Tasmania Region 1: King Island. Land Systems of Tasmania Region 2: Flinders Island. Land Systems of Tasmania Region 3: North. Land Systems of Tasmania Region 4: North East Land Systems Survey of Tasmania Region 5: Central Plateau. Land Systems Surveys of Tasmania Region 6: South, East and Midlands Land Systems of Tasmania Region 7: South West.

Town Grant Charts are the Town charts used in the former Lands Department to record the granting and alienation of land within original town areas in Tasmania. Land Grant information is depicted on these together with additional references relating to the gazettal, reservation granting, acquisition and leasing of Crown Land. These charts have been georeferenced and mosaiced into a single statewide file.

Declared irrigation district boundaries mapped by Victorian rural water corporations. Declared irrigation districts are managed by Victorian water corporations under Part 6A of the Water Act 1989 and encompass rural water corporation irrigation infrastructure for water supply. The declared irrigation districts in the north of Victoria include the Goulburn Murray, Nyah and Tresco irrigation districts managed by Goulburn Murray Water and the Merbein, Red Cliffs, Robinvale and First Mildura irrigation districts managed by Lower Murray Water. The declared irrigation districts in the south of Victoria include the Macalister, Werribee and Bacchus Marsh irrigation districts managed by Southern Rural Water. These declared irrigation districts service the majority of irrigation enterprises in Victoria, supporting agricultural production. Input scales vary by water corporation. N.B. This layer replaces Districts (LGATE-009) Originally Land Districts were described by technical description, and Proclaimed under the Land Act, and published in the Government Gazette. Today, a document is raised on behalf of the Minister for Lands, in accordance with section 26(2) of the Land Administration Act 1997, whereas changes to the Land Districts in question are described. Changes can take place once the document has been approved. If a Town site extent is changed, then the corresponding Land District is changed accordingly.
