By publishing regulatory activity, the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission increases awareness and transparency of matters that affect the quality and safety of NDIS supports and services. This information supports informed choice for NDIS participants and stakeholders, promotes best practice by providers, and helps deter conduct that may place people with disability at risk. All compliance and enforcement actions published by the NDIS Commission are taken under the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013 and associated Rules. These laws set out the legal obligations of NDIS providers and the regulatory powers of the NDIS Commissioner. This dataset includes information from the NDIS Commission Provider Register Part 2 and outlines compliance and enforcement actions taken against NDIS providers and individuals. It contains records of regulatory actions published by the NDIS Commission and is intended to support transparency and public access to information. The dataset reflects the information available on the NDIS Commission website at the time of publication.

The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission started in NSW and SA on 1 July 2018. Some of the NSW Ombudsman’s functions in relation to services and supports for people with disability have now moved to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Complaints and reportable incidents involving NDIS providers are now handled by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Read fact sheet to learn more.
