Kempsey LGA (Western Portion) Vegetation. VIS ID 244
공공데이터포털
Vegetation Distribution Map for the western portion of Kempsey Shire Council. Project undertaken by GHD consultants in 2007. The western portion is generally considered to be those lands within the shire boundary on the western side of the Pacific Highway.; ; The vegetation mapping was carried out using Landsat 5 TM (imagery taken between Dec 2004 and August 2005) scene and topographic variables as a basis for multi-variate statistical classification techniques. The image was 'seeded' with areas of known vegetation type 'samples', as determined by the field survey, from which spectral and topographic similarity was used to predict the presence of those types elsewhere in the image. A few iterations of model and map refinement and validation were then used to produce a final map that was then converted to the preferred GIS format for display.; ; VIS_ID 244
Maitland LGA Vegetation 2003. VIS ID 444
공공데이터포털
Maitland City Council(MCC)Vegetation Mapping by Lisa Hill in 2003. Vegetation distribution map for lands within the extent of the local government area, excluding those contained within National Park or State Forest Reserves. Systematic vegetation survey was carried out in Maitland LGA to provide Maitland Council with detailed information on natural vegetation for strategic planning purposes. Flora was sampled at 55 field sites (plots) and extensive field reconnaissance was carried out across the LGA. Agglomerative cluster analysis of plot data delineated eleven vegetation communities and an additional two communities were described by previous work in the LGA work (NPWS 2000). A total of 8,305 ha of extant vegetation was mapped in Maitland LGA using aerial photograph interpretation (API) at 1:25,000 scale. This included thirteen vegetation communities and areas of scattered trees and regeneration that did not constitute intact communities. Much of the vegetation in the LGA has affiliation with vegetation in the central, lower and mid Hunter valley, with areas in the south-east of the LGA more related to coastal vegetation in the lower Hunter-Central Coast Region. Lismore South East LGA Vegetation 2011. VIS ID 4479
공공데이터포털
Fine-scale mapping of vegetation, including Endangered Ecological Communities (EECs) and Koala habitat across the Local Government Area (LGA). The mapping fulfills a fundamental requirement for the development of a Biodiversity Management Strategy (BMS) by Lismore City Council. The LGA was divided into three zones, designated by colour, reflecting differing levels of available background information, potential for landuse to conflict with biodiversity objectives and other threats. NPWS Estate including National Parks (NPs), Nature Reserves (NRs) and State Conservation Areas (SCAs) as well as State Forests (SFs) were outside the scope of the mapping project. Original field work was undertaken between November 2010 and June 2011. The mapping project commenced in Nov 2017 using 2009 aerial photography along with Sept 2012 imagery limited to the rural villages of Modanville, Dunoon and Nimbin. From May 2018 onwards the project used high resolution aerial photography taken in April 2018. Vegetation was classified by API mainly on the basis of spatial patterns, texture and colour calibrated by field observations. Non-plantation vegetation polygons were assigned to vegetation units on the basis of canopy dominant species. Vegetation communities were placed in Keith formations and classes. Vegetation condition was also recorded. Each vegetation polygon was assigned to a Koala habitat category based only on flora species present. A list of EECs reported or considered likely to occur in the LGA were also derived. A reliability code was allocated to each mapped polygon, according to the source of the data and/or the manner in which data was collected. VIS_ID 4479
Spatial Vegetation Data for Arches National Park Vegetation Mapping Project
공공데이터포털
This polygon feature class represents vegetation communities mapped at Arches National Park to an alliance or association level, depending on the photo signature. The polygons were generated using guidelines set by the Standardized National Vegetation Classification System (October 1995). Original lines were drawn on mylar overlays using the DOQs collected in June of 2002. Hard copy 9x9 photography was used for photo interpretation. Traditional image interpretation cues were used to develop the polygons, such as shape, size, pattern, tone, texture, color, and shadow. Additional data layers were used in aiding the interpretation, such as slope, hydrology, soils, geography, and ground-collected vegetation information. The minimum mapping unit was 1/2 hectare. The lines developed in the image interpretation step were scanned using a large format scanner. The resultant scanned image was converted into line work for use within ArcGIS. The line work was cleaned, polygons created and attributed. The attributed vegetation classes were subjected to an accuracy assessment, following which final adjustments were made to the vegetation classes. As with any digital layer, this layer is a representation of what is actually occurring on the ground. Errors are inherent in any interpretation of ground qualities. Due to the "snapshot" nature of the DOQs, this vegetation layer reflects conditions that existed when the imagery was collected.
Kempsey LGA West Potential EECs 2007. VIS ID 375
공공데이터포털
GHD Pty Ltd (GHD) has been engaged by Kempsey Shire Council (KSC) to prepare a Vegetation Distribution Map and Endangered Ecological Communities Map for the portion of the Shire west of the Pacific Highway. A list of potential EECs identified as occurring within the Kempsey LGA was determined based on OEHs Threatened Species, Populations and Ecological Communities Profiles database correlated with structural and floristic composition. VIS_ID 375 Map footprint supplied only. Contact Kempsey Council for access to the vegetation map.
Lord Howe Island Vegetation Map 2016 VIS ID 4450
공공데이터포털
Fine scale vegetation communities mapped at 1:1,000 resolution across the Lord Howe Island Group (LHIG) are based on 2012, ADS40 digital aerial imagery captured at 10 cm resolution (LPI). The updated vegetation data and report will assist the LHI Board to better manage vegetation communities across the World Heritage Area, particularly within the settlement area where spatial accuracy in the delineation of native vegetation is critical and will assist and inform actions undertaken in delivering biodiversity management. Avondale State Conservation Area Vegetation 2014 VIS ID 4706
공공데이터포털
Avondale State Conservation Area vegetation mapping was undertaken by Dr John T. Hunter in 2014 by contract for the NPWS Northern Tableland Region. Avondale State Conservation Area is located approximately 36 km north east of Armidale and is accessed via the Rockvale Road. The reserve occurs on eastern side of the central New England Tablelands. The vegetation of Avondale State Conservation Area is described and mapped (scale1:10 000) based on ADS40 Imagery (2012). Six floristic communities are defined based on classification (Kulczynski association) and seven Plant Community Types (VIS) are mapped. These six floristic communities and seven PCTs were mapped based on ground truthing, ADS40 interpretation and landform. Two Threatened Ecological Communities (TECs) were recognised and mapped also. 공공데이터포털
This dataset is a polygon representation of vegetation communities within the coastal strip of the Northern and Southern National Resource Management (NRM) Regions of Tasmania. Each polygon represents a single vegetation community; mapping units conform to TASVEG 1.0 mapping unit specifications and data format. Vegetation communities were identified to a 1ha resolution or to 0.25ha where a threatened vegetation community was suspected. This dataset is part of the NRM Coastal Values Project. The Project maps vegetation, fauna habitat and geomorphology from High Water mark to 100 metres inland for part of the coastline of the Southern and Northern NRM Regions of Tasmania. The purpose of the coastal values mapping is to provide an easily accessible database on vegetation and geomorphology to support better strategic planning, land use planning and management on the coast.
