Geographic Information Services - Pre-European Vegetation (DPIRD-006)
The pre-European vegetation mapping of Western Australia dataset is an output of a joint project. It maps original natural vegetation presumed to have existed prior to European settlement in Western Australia. Descriptions of each of the vegetation types can be found in the accompanying memoir. The major sources of data in this database are the published and unpublished mapping of J.S. Beard at 1:250,000 scale. There are c 30,000 polygons covering 160 1:250,000 map sheets. Data on the original vegetation of all of Western Australia, with the exception of three map sheets in the south-west corner, were captured from J S Beard’s original working drawings, where these were available, or from published maps, all at the scale of 1:250,000. For the three map sheets in the south-west corner, a new data set was compiled in a form consistent with Beard’s approach, from existing data (A.J.M. Hopkins, unpublished). Also published as Beard, J. S., Beeston, G.R., Harvey, J.M., Hopkins, A. J. M. and Shepherd, D. P. 2013. The vegetation of Western Australia at the 1:3,000,000 scale. Explanatory memoir. Second edition. Conservation Science Western Australia 9: 1-152.

Department for Environment and Water - Native Vegetation Floristic Areas - Pre-European Settlement- Agricultural Region
공공데이터포털
This dataset represents the State Government's key Pre-European Settlement floristic vegetation mapping layer for the SA agricultural region. It identifies floristic composition and general structural information (referred to as vegetation communities) of areas of native vegetation thought to have been found at a particular location in the South Australia agricultural region prior to European settlement (1836).
Western Australian Local Government Association - 2020 vegetation extent by Statewide pre-European vegetation mapping
공공데이터포털
This dataset categorises the 2020 native vegetation extent mapping by pre-European state-wide vegetation mapping of Western Australia.
DCCEEW_Geospatial - Australia - Pre1750 Major Vegetation Groups and Subgroups - NVIS Version 7.0 Rasters Download
공공데이터포털
This file geodatabase downloads contains two datasets (NVIS7_0_AUST_EXT_MVG_ALB and NVIS7_0_AUST_EXT_MVS_ALB) that provides the latest summary information on Australia's present (extant) native vegetation, classified into Major Vegetation Groups and Major Vegetation Subgroups. It is in Albers Equal Area projection with a 100 m x 100 m (1 Ha) cell size. For this update, Version 7.0, the pre 1750 datasets were unchanged from the previous Version 6.0. This product is derived from a compilation of data collected at different scales on different dates by different organisations. Please refer to the separate Key Dataset map showing scales of the input datasets 'NVIS7_0_KEY_DSET_xxx'. Gaps in the NVIS database were filled by non-NVIS data, notably parts of South Australia. Major Vegetation Groups and Subgroups were identified to summarise the type and distribution of Australia's native vegetation. The classification contains different mixes of plant species within the canopy, shrub or ground layers, but are structurally similar and are often dominated by a single genus. In a mapping sense, the groups reflect the dominant vegetation occurring in a map unit where there are a mix of several vegetation types. Subdominant vegetation groups which may also be present in the map unit are not shown. For example, the dominant vegetation in an area may be mapped as dominated by eucalypt open forest, although it contains pockets of rainforest, shrubland and grassland vegetation as subdominants. A number of other non-vegetation and non-native vegetation land cover types are also represented as Major Vegetation Groups and Subgroups. These are provided for cartographic purposes but should not be used for analyses. Pre-colonial plant list
공공데이터포털
This dataset contains plant species and their occurence within the City of Melbourne area before 1835. It is based on the "Pre-colonial plant list for the City of Melbourne" produced by S.J. Sinclair, G. Sutter and M. Duncan of the Arthur Rylah Institute. For documented methods please refer to the report (attached). Codes are used in this Plant List that refer to the likelihood of the species having occurred in pre-colonial City of Melbourne: • 0 Did not occur • 1 Unlikely to have occurred • 2.1 Quite likely (at low cover) • 2.2 Quite likely (may have been prominent in places (>5% cover)) • 3.1 Highly likely or known to have occurred (low cover) • 3.2 Highly likely or known to have occurred (>5% cover) • - Certain We acknowledge and respect Victorian Traditional Owners as the original custodians of Victoria's land and waters, their unique ability to care for Country and deep spiritual connection to it. In particular, we acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land to which this work relates, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong Boon Wurrung peoples of the Eastern Kulin. We honour Elders past and present whose knowledge and wisdom has ensured the continuation of culture and traditional practice. We are committed to genuinely partner, and meaningfully engage, with Victoria's Traditional Owners and Aboriginal communities to support the protection of Country, the maintenance of spiritual and cultural practices and their broader aspirations in the 21st century and beyond. Threat status was attributed according to the Flora and Fauna Guarantee (FFG) Act Threatened List and; Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC) Act 1999 list as at May 2022.
Grasslands, Pre-Settlement, South-eastern Highlands. VIS ID 4099
공공데이터포털
Three sets of maps between them provide an almost complete coverage of the pre-settlement boundaries of natural temperate grasslands within the study area. They are the boundaries delineating grasslands of the Monaro (developed as part of broad vegetation mapping there (Costin, 1954; digitised by NPWS in 1998), the grassland boundaries in the ACT (digitised by ACT P&CS WRM) and the pre-settlement boundaries developed as a central program of this project, and covering a significant portion of South Eastern Highlands Bioregion. In Costin’s (1954) map of the vegetation of the Monaro region, the map units delineated represent Costin’s vegetation alliances. ACT vegetation was mapped by Pryor in 1939. This mapping included 5 alliances of woody species and one grassland alliance. This interpretation of ACT grassland areas has survived into modern mapping interpretations with some modifications. The current products mapped new boundaries for areas beyond the Monaro and ACT. This product present pre-European settlement grassland boundaries for an area covered by a series of 1:100 000 map sheets (Braidwood, Boorowa, Brindabella, Canberra (excluding the ACT section), Crookwell, Goulburn, Gunning and Yass).
