Upper Ocean Thermal Data, High Density, Pacific Ocean Line PX34 (Sydney-Wellington), 1991-current
공공데이터포털
This dataset contains temperature data from the TOGA/WOCE transect PX34 across the Tasman Sea. Data have been collected since January 1991 and are ongoing. The transect is repeated approximately 4 times a year, with profiles obtained approximately every 10-50 Km. The data were obtained from XBTs (expendable bathythermographs) deployed via merchant vessels, and are now managed by the Joint Australian Facility for Ocean Observing Systems (JAFOOS), a collaborative venture between CSIRO Marine Research and the Bureau of Meteorology Research Centre (BMRC).
WATER TEMPERATURE and other data from TARANAKI from 1970-01-19 to 1970-04-14 (NCEI Accession 7000973)
공공데이터포털
Data has been processed by NODC to the NODC standard Bathythermograph (XBT) (C116) format. The C116/C118 format contains temperature-depth profile data obtained using expendable bathythermograph (XBT) instruments. Cruise information, position, date and time were reported for each observation. The data record was comprised of pairs of temperature-depth values. Unlike the MBT Data File, in which temperature values were recorded at uniform 5 m intervals, the XBT data files contained temperature values at non-uniform depths. These depths were recorded at the minimum number of points ("inflection points") required to accurately define the temperature curve. Standard XBTs can obtain profiles to depths of either 450 or 760 m. With special instruments, measurements can be obtained to 1830 m. Prior to July 1994, XBT data were routinely processed to one of these standard types. XBT data are now processed and loaded directly in to the NODC Ocean Profile Data Base (OPDB). Historic data from these two data types were loaded into the OPDB.
Upper Ocean Thermal Data, High Density, Pacific Ocean Line PX55 (Melbourne-Wellington), 1991
공공데이터포털
This dataset contains temperature data from the TOGA/WOCE transect PX55 across the Tasman Sea. Data were collected in October 1991.
Upper Ocean Thermal Data, Indian Ocean Line IX12 (Fremantle-Red Sea), 1986-current
공공데이터포털
This dataset contains temperature data from the TOGA/WOCE transect IX12 across the Indian Ocean, between Fremantle and the Red Sea. Data have been collected since December 1986 and are ongoing. The transect is repeated approximately monthly. Profiles are obtained approximately every 60km (a 1 degree latitude / 1.5 degree longitude grid). The data are obtained from XBTs (expendable bathythermographs) deployed via the Ship-of-Opportunity Program (SOOP) of the IOC/WMO Integrated Global Ocean Services System (IGOSS), and are now managed by the Joint Australian Facility for Ocean Observing Systems (JAFOOS), a collaborative venture between CSIRO Marine Research and the Bureau of Meteorology Research Centre (BMRC).
