Soil Mapping Data Packages
These Soil Mapping Data Packages include 1. a Soil Map dataset which includes the equivalents to [Soil Project Boundaries](https://catalogue.data.gov.bc.ca/dataset/soil-mapping-soil-project-boundaries), [Soil Survey Spatial View](https://catalogue.data.gov.bc.ca/dataset/soil-survey-spatial-view) mapping polygons with attributes from the [Soil Name and Layer Files](https://catalogue.data.gov.bc.ca/dataset/soil-name-and-layer-files), plus + A Soil Site dataset which includes soil pit site information and detailed soil pit descriptions and any associated lab analyses, and + The Soil Data Dictionary which documents the fields and allowable codes within the data. The Soil Map geodatabase contains the 'best available' data ranging from 1:20,000 scale to 1:250,000 scale with overlapping data removed. The choice of the datasets that remain is based on connectivity to the soil attributes (soil name and layer files), map scale and survey date. (Note: the BC Soil Landscapes of Canada (BCSLC) 1:1,000,000 data has not been included in the Soil_Map or SIFT, but is available from: [CANSIS](http://sis.agr.gc.ca/cansis/nsdb/slc/index.html). (A complete soils data package with overlapping soil survey mapping and BCSLC is available on [request](mailto:TEI_Mail@gov.bc.ca). Note that the soil survey data with attributes can also be viewed interactively in the [Soil Information Finder Tool](The Soil Map dataset is also available for interactive map viewing or as KMZs from the [Soil Information Finder Tool website](https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/environment/air-land-water/land/soil-information-finder).

Soil Survey Spatial View
공공데이터포털
Soil Survey polygons contain soils spatial and attribute information utilized by the Ministry of Environment online Soil Information Finder Tool ([SIFT](http://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/environment/air-land-water/land/soil-information-finder)). The information pertains to soil survey data in the Province of British Columbia, as well as links to a variety of reports and maps. Polygons related to soil surveys can be made up of a complex of up to 3 components representing 3 different soil types. These components are aspatial and represent the amount in the polygon indicated by the PERCENT_x field for the component x. Each unique soil type has a soil name and generalized attributes such as drainage, texture and coarse fragment percent. The [Soil Name and Layer Files](https://catalogue.data.gov.bc.ca/dataset/a3bc4cd3-0f1b-4a2f-bd88-76f821756d10) can be joined and related to each of the 3 components of the Soil Survey Spatial View polygons using the SoilSymbol field in the name and layer tables and the `SOILSYM_x` fields in the Soil Survey Spatial View.
Department of Finance, Services and Innovation - NSW Foundation Spatial Data Framework - Land Cover - Soil Landscape
공공데이터포털
Soil Landscapes comprise of the Soil Landscape Series mapping based on standard 1:100,000 and 1:250,000 topographic sheets and Soil and Land Resource Series mapping using catchment boundaries or other areas of state significance. Mapping and accompanying reports provide an inventory of soil and landscape properties of their area and identify major soil and landscape qualities and constraints. The ‘Soil Landscape’ concept integrates soil and topographic features into single units with relatively uniform land management requirements. Soils are described in terms of Australian Soil Classification, Great Soil Group and Northcote classification systems. Key soil materials are also identified for the Soil Landscape Series.
Terrestrial Ecosystem Mapping (TEM) Project Boundaries
공공데이터포털
Terrestrial Ecosystem Mapping (TEM) project boundaries contains (study areas) and attributes describing each project (project level metadata), plus links to the locations of other data associated with the project (e.g., reports, polygon datasets, plotfiles, field data, legends).TEM divides the landscape into units according to a variety of ecological features including climate, physiography, surficial material, bedrock geology, soils and vegetation. This layer is derived from the STE_TEI_PROJECT_BOUNDARIES_SP layer by filtering on the PROJECT_TYPE attribute. Project Types include: TEM, NEM, TEMNSS, NEMNSS, TEMPRE, NEMPRE, TEMSEI, TEMSET, TEMTSM, TEMWHR, TEMSDM, TEMPRW, NEMPRW, and TEMSEW. Current version: v11 (published on 2024-10-03) Previous versions: v10 (published on 2023-11-14), v9 (published on 2023-03-01), v8 (published on 2016-09-01)
Terrestrial Ecosystem Information Scanned Map Boundary
공공데이터포털
STE_SCANNED_MAP_BOUNDARY_SP includes an index of the mapsheet grid location of Soils, Terrain, Ecosystems and related scanned maps (including Agriculture Capability and Climate Capability maps). These maps are intended for on-screen viewing or printing. The majority of the maps have been geo-referenced. Mapping may not cover the whole map grid area. Some maps are interim or draft and may have been superseded. Some files are of related legends and map project text. Associated scanned map boundary attributes describe the project map (project level metadata) and provide a link for downloading the map, plus links to related reports, geo-referenced maps, and GIS digital data available from other sources. ATTENTION - The IMAGE_URL link is only useable by BC government staff. Public users can download the scanned maps by using the ECOCAT_URL link. There is no charge for the scanned map files. Please note that some maps and more recent mapping may also be available in digital GIS format. See - Ecosystem and Terrain Mapping Data Inventory.
Global Soil Data Products CD-ROM Contents (IGBP-DIS)
공공데이터포털
This dataset contains global data on soil properties, global maps of soil distributions, and the SoilData System developed by the International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme Data and Information System (IGBP-DIS). These data were originally distributed on CD-ROM, but are provided here as a single zip file. The SoilData System allows users to generate soil information and maps for geographic regions at soil depths and resolutions selected by the user. Derived surfaces of carbon density, nutrient status, water-holding capacity, and heat capacity are provided for modeling and inventory purposes.
British Columbia Detailed Soil Survey
공공데이터포털
The British Columbia Detailed Soil Survey dataset series at a scale of 1:100 000 consists of geo-referenced soil polygons with linkages to attribute data found in the associated Component File (CMP), Soil Names File (SNF) and Soil Layer File (SLF). Together, these datasets describe the spatial distribution of soils and associated landscapes for nearly all agricultural areas for the Lower Fraser Valley, British Columbia.
Terrain Mapping (TER) Project Boundaries
공공데이터포털
Terrain Mapping (TER) project boundaries contains (study areas) and attributes describing each project (project level metadata), plus links to the locations of other data associated with the project (e.g., reports, polygon datasets, plotfiles, legends) for terrain inventory, bioterrain and terrain stability mapping projects. TER divides the landscape into units according to surficial materials, landforms and geomorphological processes using the Terrain Classification System for British Columbia. This layer is derived from the STE_TEI_PROJECT_BOUNDARIES_SP layer by filtering on the PROJECT_TYPE attribute. Project types include: TEM, TEMNSS, TEMPRE, TEMSEI, TEMSET, TEMTSM, TSM, TSMREC, TSMDET, TIM, TBS, TBT, TIMSOI, TEMWHR, TEMSDM, TEMPRW, NEMPRW, and TEMSEW. Soil and Landscape Grid National Soil Attribute Maps - Clay (3" resolution) - Release 1
공공데이터포털

This is Version 1 of the Australian Soil Clay product of the Soil and Landscape Grid of Australia. It is superseded by: Soil and Landscape Grid National Soil Attribute Maps - Clay (3" resolution) - Release 2.

The Soil and Landscape Grid of Australia has produced a range of digital soil attribute products. Each product contains six digital soil attribute maps, and their upper and lower confidence limits, representing the soil attribute at six depths: 0-5cm, 5-15cm, 15-30cm, 30-60cm, 60-100cm and 100-200cm. These depths are consistent with the specifications of the GlobalSoilMap.net project (http://www.globalsoilmap.net/). The digital soil attribute maps are in raster format at a resolution of 3 arc sec (~90 x 90 m pixels). These maps are generated by combining the best available Digital Soil Mapping (DSM) products available across Australia. Attribute Definition: 2 μm mass fraction of the less than 2 mm soil material determined using the pipette method; Units: %; Period (temporal coverage; approximately): 1950-2013; Spatial resolution: 3 arc seconds (approx 90m); Total number of gridded maps for this attribute: 18; Number of pixels with coverage per layer: 2007M (49200 * 40800); Total size before compression: about 8GB; Total size after compression: about 4GB; Data license : Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY); Target data standard: GlobalSoilMap specifications; Format: GeoTIFF.
