These data were collected by Dewberry using a CZMIL Nova system. The data were acquired from 20210126 - 20210227. The data include topobathy data in LAS 1.4 format classified as unclassified (1); ground (2); low noise (7); high noise (18); bathymetric bottom (40); water surface (41); derived water surface (42); submerged object, not otherwise specified (e.g., wreck, rock, submerged piling) (43); and no bottom found (bathymetric lidar point for which no detectable bottom return was received) (45) in accordance with project specifications; temporal surface not used in bathymetric classification (65). This dataset consists of approximately 225 square miles of data along the shores of Tampa Bay and contains 3,180 500 m x 500 m lidar tiles.
2010 Coastal Georgia Elevation Project Lidar Data

Between January and March 2010, lidar data was collected in southeast/coastal Georgia under a multi-agency partnership between the Coastal Georgia Regional Development Center, USGS, FEMA, NOAA and local county governments. Data acquisition is for the full extent of coastal Georgia, approximately 50 miles inland, excluding counties with existing high-resolution lidar derived elevation data. The data capture area consists of an area of approximately 5703 square miles. This project is within the Atlantic Coastal Priority Area as defined by the National Geospatial Program (NGP) and supports homeland security requirements of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). This project also supports the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) and will advance USGS efforts related to The National Map and the National Elevation Dataset. The data were delivered in LAS format version 1.2 in 5000 x 5000 foot tiles. 2023 NOAA Topobathy Lidar: Northern Lake Michigan & Northern Lake Huron, MI

Product: This topobathy lidar dataset consists of processed classified LAS 1.4 files used to create intensity images and topobathymetric DEMs as necessary. Three project areas for this dataset are: 1. Lansing Shoals - 4273 individual 500 m x 500 m tiles 2. Green Bay - 1837 individual 500 m x 500 m tiles 3. Lake Huron - 2871 individual 500 m x 500 m tiles Geographic Extent: The Michigan coastline along parts of northern Lake Michigan and northern Lake Huron, covering approximately 627 square miles. 1. Lansing Shoals portion (Lake Michigan) of the AOI covers approximately 311 square miles 2. Green Bay portion (Lake Michigan) of the AOI covers approximately 116 square miles 3, Lake Huron portion of the AOI covers approximately 200 square miles Dataset Description: The Great Lakes Topobathymetric Lidar project called for the planning, acquisition, processing and derivative products of lidar data to be collected at a nominal pulse spacing (NPS) of 1 meter for bathymetric areas. Project specifications are based on the U.S. Geological Survey National Geospatial Program Base Lidar Specification, Version 1.3. The data was developed based on a horizontal projection/datum of NAD83 (2011), UTM zones 16N and 17N, meters and vertical datum of NAVD88 (Geoid 18), meters. Ground Conditions: 1. Lansing Shoals - Lidar was collected for the Lansing Shoals region from September 14, 2023 to September 25, 2023, while no snow was on the ground and rivers were at or below normal levels 2. Green Bay - Lidar was collected for the Green Bay region from September 28, 2023 to October 5, 2023, while no snow was on the ground and rivers were at or below normal levels. 3, Lake Huron - Lidar was collected for the Northern Lake Huron region from September 16, 2023 to October 4, 2023, while no snow was on the ground and rivers were at or below normal levels.
2010 NOAA/USGS Lidar: French Frigate Shoals, NWHI

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) contracted with Hawaii-based Aerial Surveying, Inc. to collect lidar-derived elevation data over the low-lying areas within the northwestern Hawaiian Islands (NWHI) during the summer of 2010. A separate contract issued to Aerial Surveying, Inc. by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) funded the lidar data processing and elevation data product development phases of the project. Lidar data provide high resolution digital elevation models that are used for many applications, including but not limited to sea level rise modeling, habitat assessments, and tsunami inundation modeling. In April 2011, NOAA Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument and NOAA Office for Coastal Management deployed a survey crew to the NWHI to collect high accuracy point data to validate the 2010 lidar data. The survey crew used survey-grade Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers to collect high accuracy elevation points. This metadata covers the information for French Frigate Shoals. This dataset contains lidar point clouds in LAS 1.2 format, classified according to the ASPRS LAS 1.2 class table. The following are the equipment used to create the lidar data sets. Aircraft: Beechcraft Queen Air Lidar Systems: Riegl 140 and 240 Accuracy statements are based on areas of open terrain, with points classified as ground. The accuracy of each point is expected to meet the vertical accuracy standard, derived products may be less accurate in areas of extreme terrain and dense vegetation due to a lesser number of points defining the ground in these areas. Classified data sets such as this one may have varying posting due to some pulses not reaching the ground. This work was conducted under permit number PMNM-2010-033 as approved by NOAA, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), and the State of Hawaii, and acknowledged by Dr. Charles L. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has the statutory mandate to collect hydrographic data in support of nautical chart compilation for safe navigation and to provide background data for engineers, scientific, and other commercial and industrial activities. Hydrographic survey data primarily consist of water depths, but may also include features (e.g. rocks, wrecks), navigation aids, shoreline identification, and bottom type information. David Evans and Associates, Inc. (DEA), in conjunction with Geomatics Data Solutions and Quantum Spatial, Inc., conducted hydrographic lidar survey operations along the New Jersey coast, from Barnegat Bay to Hereford Inlet. Survey H12606 was conducted in accordance with the Statement of Work, Hydrographic Lidar Surveying Services (SOW), June 2013 and Hydrographic Survey Project Instructions, June 18, 2013 for OPR-C308-KRL-13. Nine potential survey areas were identified, however, only three areas were surveyed. Areas 1, 2, and 6 were selected. Data were collected from April 1 - 3, 2014 using the Chiroptera Lidar system. The data contained in this file contain hydrographic and topographic data collected by the Fugro LADS Mk II system along the Lake Superior coast of Minnessota, Wisconsin and Michigan. FLI was contracted under Fugro Earth Data Inc (FEDI) by NOAA Office for Coastal Management (OCM) to collect data under the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative. All point data has delivered is in LAS 1.2 format The file has been classified so that all points are classified as first return or bare earth First return points include all vegetation, buildings or other feature with fixed position Bare earth points exclude vegetation, buildings, piers, jetties, nav aids, bridges and any other fixed man made feature. Digital Elevation Model (DEM) derived from lidar data. LiDAR data collection was performed utilizing a Leica ALS-50 sensor, collecting multiple return x, y, and z data as well as intensity data. LiDAR data was processed to achieve a bare ground surface, and was delivered in LAS format. 2016 NOAA Topobathy Lidar DEM: Upper Lake Michigan Islands

This digital elevation model (DEM) was created from data collected by Leading Edge Geomatics using a Leica Chiroptera II Bathymetric & Topographic Sensor. The project consists of approximately 205 square miles of data along the shores of the Beaver Island Archipelago and South Manitou Islands in Upper Lake Michigan. The data were acquired between November 16, 2015 through December 5, 2015 for Beaver Island, North Fox Island, Gull Island, High Island, Garden Island, and Isle Aux Galets. The data for South Manitou Island, South Fox Island and several smaller islands that needed to be re-acquired on Beaver Island due to data gaps, were acquired on June 2, 2016 and June 3, 2016. The data includes topobathy data classified as: created, never classified (0), unclassified (1), ground (2), submerged topography (40), water surface (41), derived water surface (42), no bottom found (45) in accordance with project specifications. Data that was classed as ground (2) and submerged topography (40), were used to create the 2 meter DEMs. This dataset contains 3,361 500 m x 500 m lidar tiles. In addition to the DEM data, the classified lidar point data that these DEMs were created from are also available.
