CURRENT DIRECTION, CURRENT SPEED and other data from FIXED PLATFORM from 1974-02-01 to 1974-03-01 (NCEI Accession 7400492)
공공데이터포털
This dataset includes current speed and direction measurements from fixed level taut line moorings in the Gulf of Mexico from February 8, 1974, to March 8, 1974. The data were submitted by Dr. C.N.K. Mooers of University of Miami, Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science (RSMAS), Department of Physical Oceanography. These data were collected as part of the Continental Shelf Dynamics Program, NSF #GA - 34009.
CURRENT DIRECTION, CURRENT SPEED and other data from DRIFTING PLATFORM from 1992-02-21 to 1992-06-02 (NCEI Accession 9500024)
공공데이터포털
The data in this accession was collected from drifting current meters deployed in pack ice in the Western Weddell Sea during winter of 1992 as part of ICE STATION WEDDELL-1 experiment. The current meter data at 25, 50, 200M was collected from 11 stations between February 21, 1992 and June 2, 1992. One diskette of data was submitted by Dr. Robin D. Muench of SAIC, Bellevue, Washington. The study was funded by NSF Grant # opp-9024828 and described by Ice Station Weddell Group in EOS VOL. 74, PP 121-126, 1993.
Current direction data from moored current meter casts in the Delaware Bay from 1976-02-23 to 1985-09-23 (NCEI Accession 8600005)
공공데이터포털
Current direction data were collected using moored current meter casts in the Delaware Bay from February 23, 1976 to September 23, 1985. Mr. C.R. Muirhead of National Ocean Service (NOS), Rockville, MD submitted these data. This submission comprises two data sets. The first data set are the Eulerian Current measurements from Beaufort Inlet. These data were collected as part of the Beaufort Inlet Circulation Survey done from February to May 1976. These data have been processed and are available in NODC format F005. The other data set contains data which were collected as part of the Delaware Inlet Circulation Survey. Delaware Bay was sampled from February to May 1985. Only temperature data were submitted. The F005 format is used for time series measurements of ocean currents obtained using moored current-measuring instruments, principally Aanderaa current meters (manufactured by Aanderaa Instruments Inc.). These data represent the Eulerian method of current measurement, i.e., the meters are deployed at a fixed mooring point and measure flow past the sensor. Position, water depth, and sensor depth are reported for each station. The data record comprises values of current direction and speed at specified date and time. Data values may be subject to averaging or filtering and are typically reported at 10-15 minute time intervals. Other environmental parameters may also be reported. These include: water temperature, salinity, conductivity, and transmissivity; wind direction and speed; and dominant wave direction, height, and period. A text field is available for optional comments.
Current meter - direction and other data from FIXED PLATFORMS from 1972-06-27 to 1972-10-10 (NCEI Accession 7500581)
공공데이터포털
Current meter - direction and other data were collected from FIXED PLATFORMS. Data were collected by the National Ocean Service (NOS) from 27 June 1972 to 10 October 1972. Data were processed by NODC to the NODC standard F005 - Current Meter Data (Resultants) format.
