Telemetry evaluation of invasive carp herding in Jonathan Creek Embayment, Kentucky Lake, Kentucky
Data tables represents a telemetry study assessing the efficacy of sound and electricity used to herd Silver Carp (Hypophthalmichthys molitrix). The study occurred in Jonathan Creek Embayment of Kentucky Lake, Kentucky using 10 telemetered Silver Carp and 46 passive acoustic receivers. Two herding boats traveled at 2.22 meters per second along bank-to-bank transects through the study area (longitudinal progression rate = 0.37 meters per second) emitting sound and electricity (“stimulus”) or no added stimuli (“control”). Fish movement responses included fish presence in the refuge-zones located at either end of the embayment, fish presence fore of herding boats, and fish presence within 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters, and 800 meters of the herding boats, and fish velocity.

Electrofishing Results and Sampling of Bull Trout and Other Aquatic Vertebrates in the Vicinity of Yellow Pine, Idaho 2016
공공데이터포털
This data set summarizes electrofishing effort, observations, and tissue sampling of aquatic vertebrates near Yellow Pine, Idaho. Sampling was conducted using a backpack electrofishing unit at two reference sites including Cane Creek and Sugar Creek, and at three mine impact sites including Sugar Creek and Cinnabar Creek. Juvenile Bull Trout (Salvelinus confluentus) were present at all five sites and were the primary species targeted during our sampling effort. Additional tissue samples of Sculpin, and amphibians were taken when available. Where possible, a two pass (quantitative depletion) electrofishing survey was conducted at each site for non-USGS stakeholders (Nez Perce Tribe and Idaho Department of Fish and Game) to estimate population density if necessary to fit project needs. Electrofishing efforts were immediately halted when adult spawning Bull Trout were encountered so as to minimize harm to that species and in those cases a two pass quantitative depletion survey was not completed. Both summarized and site specific data included are in tabular form. Data is presented in both .csv and .xlsx format, the content within the Excel workbook is the same content within each individual .csv and .jpeg.

Invasive carp harvest data and surveys of commercial fishers in support of stock assessment and abundance models, Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley, 2009-2021
공공데이터포털
There are three datasets associated with the manuscript ‘Experience matters: Commercial fishing can reduce biomass of invasive bigheaded carps’. The first dataset represent harvest from the invasive carp harvest program in Kentucky and Tennessee from 2009-2021 only in Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake where the majority of harvest occurs. The second data are length data from a subset of those fish harvested in 2018-2021. Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources and Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency conduct observations onboard commercial vessels. During these observations total lengths are collected from a subset of that capture which we have used to develop a length-based stock assessment. The last dataset are the results from a survey delivered to fishers participating in the invasive carp harvest program in Kentucky and Tennessee.

Data for dam passage analysis of Silver Carp at three locks and dams on the Tennessee and Cumberland rivers from 2016–2019
공공데이터포털
Acoustic telemetry data (Innovasea, Inc.) were collected on invasive Silver Carp (Hypophthalmichthys molitrix) in the lower reaches of the Tennessee and Cumberland river systems to determine timing and environmental conditions associated with dam passages by Silver Carp during 2016–2019. Data also include water level. dam discharge, and lock use data for three dams within these river systems. Any use of trade, firm, or product names is for descriptive purposes only and does not imply endorsement by the U.S. Government.
A refined electrofishing technique for collecting Silver Carp: Implications for management. Supporting data
공공데이터포털
The table provides all fish collected using two different electrofishing methods at Illinois River sites in 2012 and 2013. Length and weights were taken on most species and gender was taken from Silver Carp. Fishes were categorized whether they were netters (caught by nets) or jumpers (jumped in the boat while sampling) and only netters were used in analyses. Large numbers of shad were collected in 2013 and an additional spreadsheet includes abundance data in an aggregated form for those sites. The data is not sensitive/classified and there are no legal restrictions on who may obtain or use the data.
2017-2018 Telemetry data for Asian carp and native fish species at Lock and Dam 19 in the Upper Mississippi River Basin
공공데이터포털
This dataset includes information derived from a Vemco telemetry array located at Lock and Dam 19 on the Mississippi River near Keokuk, IA. Ten fish species, comprised of both native and invasive species, were detected with this system. Lock Queue Reports, which detail the daily lock operation for river traffic, were obtained from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Temperature data were recorded on the Vemco receivers and stage height data were obtained from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Six worksheets are included in this file, including a meta-data sheet that describes the datasets, provides variable names, and associated units of measure.
