CTD, bottle, meteorological, and other data were collected from the Southern Oceans (>60 degrees South) from the Nathaniel B. Palmer from 14 February 1994 to 31 March 1994. CTD data include profiles of temperature, salinity, and oxygen concentrations. Bottle data include concentration profiles of oxygen, silicate, phosphate, nitrate, and total CO2. Meteorological data include barometric pressure, wind speed, and wind direction. Data were submitted by the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University.

Temperature profile, nutrients and other data were collected using bottle casts from NATHANIEL B. PALMER and ROGER REVELLE in the Southern Oceans. Data were collected from 06 September 1996 to 31 March 1998. Data were collected by Duke University and other institutions with support from the JGOFS Antarctic environments Southern Ocean Process Study (JGOFS/AESOPS) project.

This data set is a hydrographic survey collected by CTD and ADCP throughout West Antarctica, but largely in the Bellingshausen and Amundsen Seas, during the research cruise NBP19-01 on the research vessel Nathaniel B. Palmer. Each of the 78 stations provide full-depth profiles of temperature, salinity, oxygen, fluorescence and PAR. Velocity profiles were also collected from a Lowered Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (LADCP). The temperature, salinity and velocity measurements have been calibrated and quality controlled (see link to cruise report below). All other properties have not been calibrated at this time. This data set also contains glider data obtained during the second part of the project. Please contact the PI, Andrew Thompson for further information. Data are in NetCDF. Temperature profile, nutrients, and other data were collected using plankton net, bottle, and CTD casts from the POLARSTERN in the Southern Oceans. Data were collected from 02 October 1992 to 25 November 1992. Data were collected and submitted by Netherlands Institute for Sea Research with support from the US JGOFS Antarctic Environments Southern Ocean Process Study (JGOFS/AESOPS) project.

Ocean pressure, temperature, and salinity data are reported from 85 CTD profiles acquired in the Bellingshausen Sea. These austral spring observations, taken along the continental shelf slope to a nominal depth of 500m (interspersed with a few full depth profiles), comprise a portion of several related data sets obtained during NBP07-09, from Punta Arenas to Punta Arenas, Chile. Additional sampling was undertaken for physical, geochemical and biological parameters of sea ice and upper ocean, as well as ocean currents and continuous underway mapping of sea surface properties, meteorological variables and bathymetry.

Nutrients and other data were collected from CTD and bottle casts in the Antarctic Ocean from the Nathaniel B. Palmer from 18 October 1996 to 30 April 1997. Data were collected as part of the Ross Sea Process 1 Cruise project and the JGOFS, Antarctic Environments Southern Ocean Process Study. Data include water depths, ammonium concentrations, and urea concentrations.

Palmer Long Term Ecological Research (PAL-LTER) Temperature and Salinity profile data collected west of the Antarctic Peninsula. These data from January/February 2006 are part of the ongoing collection of ecological data generally on an equal area grain 400 km long (roughly parallel to the coast) and extending offshore about 200 km to include the continental slope.
