Imagery data for the Vegetation Mapping Inventory Project of Alibates Flint Quarries National Monument and Lake Meredith National Recreation Area
This reference contains the imagery data used in the completion of the baseline vegetation inventory project for the NPS park unit. Orthophotos, raw imagery, and scanned aerial photos are common files held here. A 2-tiered contract for acquiring aerial photography was established with Horizons, Incorporated of Rapid City, South Dakota. This contract specified the acquisition of color infrared (CIR) aerial photography for LAMR and vicinity at two different scales. In addition to the standard 1:12,000 scale photography typically used for photo-interpretation, the project also required 1:40,000 scale photography for the production of orthophotos for the entire area. The project area is covered by 16 flight lines flown southwest to northeast for the 1:12,000 scale photography and 4 flight lines for the 1:40,000 scale photography. A total of 364 CIR photographs were taken at 1:12,000 (1"=1,000') scale and 58 CIR photographs for the 1:40,000 (1" = 3,333') all printed on 9"x 9" paper stock. Forward overlap for all photographs was approximately 55-65% and sidelap between flight lines was approximately 25-35%. All photography was acquired on July 14-16, 2002.

This reference contains the imagery data used in the completion of the baseline vegetation inventory project for the NPS park unit. Orthophotos, raw imagery, and scanned aerial photos are common files held here. Vegetation and land use were interpreted to the most detailed level possible using high-resolution, 1:12,000-scale color aerial photography that had been digitally scanned and orthorectified. Most of the interpretation was based on site visit information, because virtually every part of the Monument is accessible on foot. Polygons representing vegetation or land use map classes were delineated on the stereo photographs and transferred to a spatial database. Because the individual Monument parcels are so small, the standard minimum mapping unit of 0.5 ha was discarded and polygons were delineated to approximately 0.1 ha (0.3 acres).

This reference contains the imagery data used in the completion of the baseline vegetation inventory project for the NPS park unit. Orthophotos, raw imagery, and scanned aerial photos are common files held here. Color infrared (CIR) aerial photographs of the park at 1:12,000 scale were acquired by Aero-Metric, Inc. on May 11, 2011. These photos were scanned and converted to digital orthophotographs at 0.3-meter (1ft) resolution before they were delivered to the National Park Service. Digital orthophotographs and hardcopy photographs in both film transparency and paper print formats were provided to the University of Georgia Center for Geospatial Research. Six photos in two flight lines were required to cover Fort Caroline National Memorial.

This reference contains the imagery data used in the completion of the baseline vegetation inventory project for the NPS park unit. Orthophotos, raw imagery, and scanned aerial photos are common files held here. Base Imagery = BOR-supplied 2002, True-color, 3-band, 1-meter, 1:12,000-scale ortho-image, NAIP 2009, True-color, 3-band, 1-meter, 1:12,000-scale ortho-image All of the ground information obtained in 2007 was documented and summarized to apply to the NAIP ortho-imagery and the final list of NVC associations for LARO in 2008 and 2009. CTI created preliminary map classes based on the ORNHIC preliminary list of plant associations developed from previous projects and all developed areas, roads, streams, badlands exposures, and other obvious features were manually digitized and incorporated with the project boundary into a draft GIS layer.

공공데이터포털
These data were converted from the originally delivered Microsoft Access PLOTs database from the Vegetation Mapping Inventory Project of Lake Meredith National Recreation Area, Alibates Flint Quarries National Monument. These comma-delimited data tables contain(s) vegetation mapping plot classification and accuracy assessment data, as well as summary information about the data itself. If a table is empty, then it was empty in the original database.
Geospatial data for the Vegetation Mapping Inventory Project of Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area
공공데이터포털
The files linked to this reference are the geospatial data created as part of the completion of the baseline vegetation inventory project for the NPS park unit. Current format is ArcGIS file geodatabase but older formats may exist as shapefiles. Mapping began in earnest in 2007 by re-sampling the 2002 imagery to a 3-meter pixel resolution and then segmenting it using eCognition software. Initial segments were created to delineate obvious landforms (e.g. open water and fields) and physiognomic features (e.g. grasslands versus woodlands). Following segmentation, the lines were exported as ArcInfo shapefiles and converted to ArcInfo coverages. The resulting coverages were run through a series of smoothing routines until no obvious artificial or relict breaks in the lines were visible. Following smoothing, the line-work was manually cleaned to remove extraneous lines, small polygons, and polygons that obviously split a homogenous stand of vegetation.

This reference contains the imagery data used in the completion of the baseline vegetation inventory project for the NPS park unit. Orthophotos, raw imagery, and scanned aerial photos are common files held here. Two types of aerial photography were provided for the project. The photography received was natural color and color infrared (CIR), nominal scale of 1:12,000, dated July 1995. Each type consisted of prints and diapositives. Both sets of imagery were evaluated to determine which film type would be used as the primary source. Upon review it was determined to use the natural color photography as the primary source. The CIR photos were very bright and washed out at rock outcrop areas, causing a glare on adjacent areas.
