This dataset contains Water temperature, salinity, and oxygen data from CTD and water sampling taken from NOAA Ship Ronald H. Brown, cruise RB-22-04, in the Northwestern Tropical Atlantic. Cruise RB-22-04 by research vessel Ronald H. Brown in 2022 had the objective to service a number of moored platforms for the NTAS and MOVE projects (Northwest Tropical Atlantic Station and Meridional Overturning Variability Experiment, resp.). To calibrate and validate the mooring data, CTD casts with salinity and oxygen water samples were collected; these data are reported here. The CTD sensor data have been quality-controlled and adjusted using the water sample data. Data are in NetCDF. The raw CTD data are available as separate files.
Water temperature, salinity, and others collected by CTD from NOAA Ship Nancy Foster in the Caribbean Sea and Southern Gulf of Mexico from 2016-05-10 to 2016-06-15 (NCEI Accession 0210506)
공공데이터포털
This dataset contains sea water property (profile) data taken by Conductivity, Temperature, Depth (CTD) from NOAA Ship Nancy Foster during two merged collaborative fisheries oceanography surveys (described in detail below). Data cover 2016-05-10 to 2016-06-15 period. The vessel's Sea-Bird Electronics (SBE) 911plus CTD system was operated at 119 discrete station locations along the survey track. At each location, the CTD package was lowered from the surface to a predetermined depth, sampling continuously. The CTD was configured with a pressure sensor, dual temperature, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen sensors, a chlorophyll a (chl_a) fluorometer, a colored dissolved organic matter (CDOM) fluorometer, and an altimeter. The sensor package was attached to a frame configured with a 24-bottle water sampler and 10-liter Niskin water sampling bottles. The raw CTD data were post-processed to a final state using the SBE Data Processing Software package (Windows-based, publicly available at www.seabird.com). The specific subroutines applied to the data are outlined in the header of each ascii data file found in the dataset (.cnv files). The header of each file also includes the time and location of the cast. In addition to the ascii data in this data submission, .jpg plots of each CTD cast have also been included. These data were not calibrated to bottle samples and are considered final. The measured and derived parameters in this dataset are: Time of Cast (elapsed from start, s) Pressure (Digiquartz, db) Temperature (from primary sensor, ITS-90, deg C) Temperature (from secondary sensor, ITS-90, deg C) Conductivity (from primary sensor, S/m) Conductivity (from secondary sensor, S/m) Dissolved Oxygen Raw Voltage (from primary sensor, SBE 43, 0-5 VDC) Dissolved Oxygen Raw Voltage (from secondary sensor, SBE 43, 0-5 VDC) CDOM Relative Fluorescence (WET Labs CDOM Fluorometer, 0-5 VDC) CHL_A Relative Fluorescence (WET Labs ECO-AFL Fluorometer, 0-5 VDC) Altimeter (when in range, depth off the bottom, m) Depth (in salt water, m) Density (from primary sensors, sigma-theta, kg/m^3) Density (from secondary sensors, sigma-theta, kg/m^3) Potential Temperature (from primary sensors, ITS-90, deg C) Potential Temperature (from secondary sensors, ITS-90, deg C) Sound Velocity (from primary sensors, Chen-Millero, m/s) Sound Velocity (from secondary sensors, Chen-Millero, m/s) Dissolved Oxygen (from primary sensor, SBE 43, ml/l) Dissolved Oxygen (from primary sensor, SBE 43, mg/l) Dissolved Oxygen (from primary sensor, SBE 43, umol/l) Dissolved Oxygen (from primary sensor, SBE 43, umol/kg) Dissolved Oxygen (from secondary sensor, SBE 43, ml/l) Dissolved Oxygen (from secondary sensor, SBE 43, mg/l) Dissolved Oxygen (from secondary sensor, SBE 43, umol/l) Dissolved Oxygen (from secondary sensor, SBE 43, umol/kg) Salinity (from primary sensors, Practical, PSU) Salinity (from secondary sensors, Practical, PSU) The NOAA fleet cruise IDs for these two surveys are NF-16-02 and NF-16-03. However, the CTD were processed together and the cruise ID NF-16-02 refers to data from both cruises. A completed cruise track and project overviews are presented in the included supporting document: NF1602_and_NF1603_CTD_overview.pdf.
Temperature and salinity profiles from CTD casts from NOAA Ship DISCOVERER and other platforms from the North Pacific Ocean and other locations from 1968-04-01 to 1993-06-26 (NCEI Accession 9400182)
공공데이터포털
CTD data were collected from NOAA Ship DISCOVERER and other platforms from the North Pacific Ocean and other locations. Data were collected from 01 April 1968 to 26 June 1993. Data were processed by NODC to the NODC standard F022 High-Resolution CTD/STD Output Format. The F022 format contains high-resolution data collected using CTD (conductivity-temperature-depth) and STD (salinity-temperature-depth) instruments. As they are lowered and raised in the oceans, these electronic devices provide nearly continuous profiles of temperature, salinity, and other parameters. Data values may be subject to averaging or filtering or obtained by interpolation and may be reported at depth intervals as fine as 1m. Cruise and instrument information, position, date, time and sampling interval are reported for each station. Environmental data at the time of the cast (meteorological and sea surface conditions) may also be reported. The data record comprises values of temperature, salinity or conductivity, density (computed sigma-t), and possibly dissolved oxygen or transmissivity at specified depth or pressure levels. Data may be reported at either equally or unequally spaced depth or pressure intervals. A text record is available for comments.
Oceanographic profile temperature, salinity and other measurements using CTD taken from NOAA Ship RONALD H. BROWN in the North Atlantic and Equatorial Atlantic from 2013-11-16 to 2013-12-05 (NCEI Accession 0120702)

The November - December 2013 PIRATA (Prediction and Research Moored Array in the Tropical Atlantic) Northeast Extension (PNE) and Aerosols and Ocean Science Expedition (AEROSE) cruise RB-13-06 was designed to (1) Collect oceanographic and meteorological observations in the northeastern tropical Atlantic, (2) Recover and redeploy the PIRATA Northeast Extensionsâ four Autonomous Temperature Line Acquisition (ATLAS) moorings, and (3) Recover and redeploy the TFlex mooring located near the 20°N, 38°W ATLAS mooring. The oceanographic component of (1) includes measurements of conductivity, temperature, pressure, oxygen concentration, and horizontal velocity from CTD casts and measurements of temperature and depth from XBT deployments. The majority of the measurements were acquired along the 23°W meridian, which samples the southeastern corner of the subtropical North Atlantic, a region of subduction that is important for the subtropical cell circulation; the Guinea Dome and oxygen minimum zone, where the subtropical and tropical gyres meet; and the tropical current system and equatorial waveguide. The meteorological component of (1) focused on measurements of atmospheric aerosols, temperature, water vapor, ozone, trace gases, winds, and other properties. All scientific goals of RB-13-06 were achieved.
