Discrete profile measurements of carbon dioxide, hydrographic and chemical data during the R/V Oden SAS-Oden 2021 (SO21) cruise (EXPOCODE 77DN20210725) in the Arctic Ocean from 2021-07-25 to 2021-09-20 (NCEI Accession 0278647)
공공데이터포털
This dataset includes profile discrete measurements of dissolved inorganic carbon, total alkalinity, pH on total scale, water temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen and other parameters measured during the R/V Oden SAS-Oden 2021 (SO21) cruise (EXPOCODE 77DN20210725) in the Arctic Ocean from 2021-07-25 to 2021-09-20. The SAS-Oden 2021 expedition (SO21) with icebreaker Oden1 (IB Oden) is the Swedish contribution to the international scientist-driven initiative âSynoptic Arctic Surveyâ (SAS)2. SAS will collect primary ecosystem data in the Arctic Ocean in 2020-2022 from both ice-breaking and non-ice-breaking research vessels. The goal of SAS is to generate a comprehensive dataset that allows for an improved characterization of the Arctic Ocean with respect to its (1) physical oceanography, (2) marine ecosystems and (3) carbon cycle. The complete SAS dataset will provide a unique baseline that will allow for tracking climate change and its impacts as they unfold in the Arctic region over the coming years, decades and centuries.

This program forms an important Canadian contribution to international climate research programs and is comprised of two ongoing programs: the Beaufort Gyre Exploration Project (BGEP), a collaboration with Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution scientists and the Pan-Arctic Climate Investigation (PACI), a collaboration with Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC) scientists. In 2010 JOIS also included ancillary programs carried out by researchers from: the International Arctic Research Center (IARC) in Fairbanks Alaska; Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology (TUMSAT), Japan; Kitami Institute of Technology (KIT), Japan.

Arctic Ocean Expedition 1991 (ODEN-91) Final Calibrated Pressure-Series CTD Data (Pressure, Temperature, Salinity) from ODEN from 1991-08-20 to 1991-10-03 (NCEI Accession 9400205)
공공데이터포털
Arctic Ocean Expedition 1991 (ODEN-91) Final Calibrated Pressure-Series CTD Data (Pressure, Temperature, Salinity) was collected from ODEN in the Arctic Ocean from August 20, 1991, to October 03, 1991. These data were submitted by Sarilee Anderson, Research Associate with Joe Reid, STS/ODF CTD Group, Oceanographic Data Facility, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego. The data is available in the NODC standard High-Resolution STD/CTD Data (F022) format. The F022 format contains high-resolution data collected using CTD (conductivity-temperature-depth) and STD (salinity-temperature-depth) instruments. As they are lowered and raised in the oceans, these electronic devices provide nearly continuous profiles of temperature, salinity, and other parameters. Data values may be subject to averaging or filtering or obtained by interpolation and may be reported at depth intervals as fine as 1m. Cruise and instrument information, position, date, time and sampling interval are reported for each station. Environmental data at the time of the cast (meteorological and sea surface conditions) may also be reported. The data record comprises values of temperature, salinity or conductivity, density (computed sigma-t), and possibly dissolved oxygen or transmissivity at specified depth or pressure levels. Data may be reported at either equally or unequally spaced depth or pressure intervals. A text record is available for comments.

The instruments used to collect these data include CTD and bottle. These data were collected by Dieter K. Fütterer of Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research and Leif G. Anderson of University of Gothenburg (GU) as part of the CARINA_06AQ19930806 dataset. The CARINA (CARbon dioxide IN the Atlantic Ocean) data synthesis project is an international collaborative effort of the EU IP CARBOOCEAN, and U.S. partners. It has produced a merged internally consistent dataset of open ocean subsurface measurements for biogeochemical investigations, in particular, studies involving the carbon system. The original focus area was the North Atlantic Ocean, but over time the geographic extent expanded and CARINA now includes data from the entire Atlantic, the Arctic Ocean, and the Southern Ocean.
