APOLLO 16 LSRP SOIL MECHANICS DATA V1.0
This dataset contains tables of raw readings and reduced data from ten runs on 22 April 1972 of the Lunar Self-Recording Penetrometer (LSRP) on the surface of the Moon for the Apollo 16 Soil Mechanics experiment. Supporting documentation includes digitized scans in JPEG and PDF format of the original LSRP soil mechanics dataset on microfilm, videos and transcripts of the LSRP as it was operated on the Moon, diagrams and maps of the experiment areas, and photography of the Apollo 16 Stations 4 and 10 where the experiment was performed.

This data set contains a table of readings from the Traverse Gravimeter Experiment performed during the Apollo 17 mission. The gravimeter, which recorded relative measurements of the local gravitational field at the lunar surface, was manually run by the astronauts near the Lunar Module landing site. The data table includes 23 valid gravity values, with calibrations and corrections, that were obtained from 12 to 14 December 1972. The absolute value for the Lunar Module site was estimated to be 162,694.6 milligal with an uncertainty of 5 milligal. Supporting documentation includes the Apollo 17 Traverse Gravimeter Experiment Final Report.

This data set contains processed LP-GRS time-series data that are used as the fundamental data for deriving composition measurements of the lunar surface using either energy window techniques or the full modeling of the neutron and gamma ray transport processes. These data have been processed to eliminate bad data as well as to make corrections due to time variations in the cosmic ray flux, LP-GRS gain, LP-GRS orientation, and altitude above the lunar surface.

This data set contains archival raw, partially processed, and ancillary/supporting radio science data acquired during the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) mission. The radio observations were carried out using the LRO spacecraft and Earth-based stations of the commercial Universal Space Network (USN), the Ka-band ground station at White Sands, New Mexico (WS1), and the Next Generation Satellite Laser Ranging station in Greenbelt, Maryland (NGSLR). Additional data were provided by the NASA Deep Space Network (DSN) during commissioning. Ongoing participation by the International Laser Ranging Service (ILRS) network of stations provides further LR data that are processed by the Lunar Orbiter Laser Altimeter (LOLA) Science Operations Center (SOC). Of most interest are likely to be the Tracking Data Files in the TRK directory.
