Dataset of channels and received IEEE 802.11ay signals for sensing applications in the 60GHz band

The dataset can be used to develop and test algorithms for communication and sensing in the 60GHz band. The dataset consists of synthetically generated indoor mm-wave channels between a MIMO transmitter and a MIMO receivers. Multiple targets are moving in the room. Number of targets, velocity of each target and trajectory are randomized across the dataset. The dataset contains also noisy received IEEE 802.11ay channel estimation fields. The dataset is suitable for development and testing of machine/deep learning algorithms. The dataset can be used to participate to the ITU AI/ML 5G Challenge. This dataset contains raw Signal Phasing and Timing (SPaT), MAP, and Basic Safety Messages (BSM) data from the "Feasibility Study and Assessment of Communications Approaches for Real-Time Traffic Signal Applications" project in the hexadecimal string and pcap formats. The project characterizes and assesses the feasibility of SPaT messages for infrastructure-based safety applications by comparing messages received through cellular networks with those received through Dedicated Short Range Communication (DSRC). This dataset contains the raw research data collected for the project. The project's final report and supporting dataset can be found at the National Transportation Library and is linked in the references section of this dataset.

Included here are figures and other relevant data from the paper "A distributed theory for contactless interconnects at terahertz frequencies". Abstract: Here we test a multimodal model for distributed contactless interconnects by comparing it to 3D full-wave simulations. In comparison to 3D simulations, the model offers insight into how the interconnect works and reduces the computational cost of estimating the interconnect?s performance. We predict the performance of four distributed contactless interconnects and find good agreement between our multimodal model and 3D simulations up to 1 THz. All the interconnects have less than 1 dB insertion loss in their first pass bands, highlighting the opportunity offered by contactless interconnects.

The dataset includes results from experiments in a simulated industrial wireless channel operated at 28 GHz. Results include synthetic-aperture beamforming data, and error-vector-magnitude information calculated from synthetic-aperture and directional-antenna measurements.
