The real time data of water temperature at varying depth bathythermograph (XBT) was recorded in stripcharts by the Australian Navy. Radio logs are forms that contain time, weather latitude/longitude, vessel id, ship id, etc. These are radioed every two hours to some military center. One line per strip chart. Some strip charts have time /date /ship id /latitude /longitude annotated on the strip chart. 486 analog stripcharts and radio logs were submitted to NODC by Ms. Edwina Tanner of Australian Oceanographic Data Center, New South Wales, Australia.

공공데이터포털
The water depth and temperature data was collected from multiple ships by the Australian Navy. The data was collected from 1978-1991. The originator's analog bathythermograph (XBT) data was submitted in a box along with eight cassette tapes by Mr. Ben J. Searle. The data has been converted and is now available on line in C116 file format of NODC.

공공데이터포털
The water temperature and depth data in this accession was collected by Hydro Department of Birkenhead, Merseyside, UK. Three different ships were used to collect the 371 bathythermograph (XBT) observations spanning from May 19, 1983 to May 31, 1988. The data was submitted by Mr. P.F. Wainwright. The data has been processed by NODC and is available in C116 Bathythermograph (XBT) file format.
WATER TEMPERATURE and other data from VIGO, ST KITTS and other platforms from 1947-08-14 to 1983-10-09 (NCEI Accession 9100112)
공공데이터포털
The water depth and temperature data was collected using over 45 different ships from August 1947 to October 1983. The originator's bathythermograph (XBT) data was submitted in a tape containing 7,537 observations by Ted Dalzell of Hydro Department, Birkenhead, Merseyside, United Kingdom. The data has been converted and is now available on line in C116-Bathythermograph-XBT and C128-Bathythermograph-MBT file formats of NODC.
WATER TEMPERATURE and other data from IRON PACIFIC, FLINDERS BAY and other platforms from 1994-01-01 to 1994-12-29 (NCEI Accession 9500151)
공공데이터포털
The water depth and temperature data was collected as part of Global Temperature- Salinity Pilot Project (GTSPP) using 13 different ships by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization, Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. The data was collected for the year 1994. The originator's 2,715 drop profiles containing bathythermograph (XBT) data files were submitted by Ann Gronell in GTSPP format via FTP. This data has been replaced. Once on June 6, 1997 and again on July 2, 1997. The last time for hemisphere error.
WATER TEMPERATURE and other data from DISCOVERY, UNKNOWN PLATFORMS and other platforms from 1988-07-29 to 1991-07-26 (NCEI Accession 9200096)
공공데이터포털
The water depth and temperature data were collected from UK ships CHALLENGER, DISCOVERY, DARWIN, FLEETWOOD, LIMA, OCEAN WEATHER STATION, and UNKNOWN PLATFORMS between July, 1988 and July, 1991. The originator's bathythermograph (XBT) data containing 557 profiles were submitted on a tape by P. Horsburgh, Hydro Department, Birkenhead, UK. The data have been converted and are now available on line in C116 (XBT) file format of NODC. The data type C116 contains temperature-depth profile data obtained using expendable bathythermograph (XBT) instruments. Cruise information, position, date and time were reported for each observation. The data record was comprised of pairs of temperature-depth values. The XBT data files contained temperature values at non-uniform depths. These depths were recorded at the minimum number of points ("inflection points") required to accurately define the temperature curve. Standard XBTs can obtain profiles to depths of either 450 or 760 m. With special instruments, measurements can be obtained to 1830 m.
