They are focusing on collecting and compiling information about the city, in particular on D.C.’s economic development priorities that create more pathways to the middle class: jobs, quality affordable housing, and community-focused development.,This site is an online version of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development’s weekly dashboard. This dashboard is also transmitted to the City Administrator, the Mayor, and other senior staff, so they can be aware of economic trends and context. It includes only data that is public, so certain indicators that DMPED uses are not included.,

The CDO annual report documents accomplishments and the Enterprise Dataset Inventory results of the previous calendar year. It assess current progress and shares the District's progress with Open Data and the Data Policy. Mayor Bowser is “making our local government one of the most accessible systems in the country.” To that end, the Mayor issued Executive Order 2017-115, District of Columbia Data Policy, on April 27, 2017, with the stated goal of leading the District of Columbia government toward more open and efficient use and sharing of government data. The policy established these principles acknowledging the value of data to the District and the inherent need to balance openness with other concerns:,

Washington DC residents and visitors can enjoy free Wi-Fi access via outdoor and indoor hotspots throughout the District at key community anchor locations including DC public schools and public charter schools, public libraries, parks and recreation centers, senior centers, community pools, community health clinics and social service sites, public housing campuses, public safety sites, and District government administration buildings. These access points are installed and managed by the Office of the Chief Technology Officer's DC Net program: https://dcnet.dc.gov/.,
