Kenya RAPID Performance Evaluation, 2020
The five-year $35.5 million public private partnership/Global Development Alliance (GDA) program, Kenya Resilient Arid Lands Partnership for Integrated Development (RAPID) was funded jointly by USAID, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), private sector partners, and Millennium Water Alliance (MWA) international Non-Government Organization (INGO) members. Coordinated by the MWA, Kenya RAPID brings together public, private and civil society institutions and communities to increase access to water and sanitation for people and water for livestock and to rebuild a healthy rangeland-management ecosystem in five ASAL counties (Turkana, Isiolo, Marsabit, Wajir, and Garissa). This performance evaluation was commissioned by the USAID/Kenya and East Africa (USAID/KEA) mission in conjunction with SDC at the end of RAPID’s fifth year. By phone or other remote media, the Evaluation Team conducted interviews with approximately 70 key informants from USAID/KEA, SDC, Government of Kenya (national level), Kenya RAPID staff, Kenya RAPID implementing partner staff, county government officials (for WASH, pastoralist support, rangeland management, health, livestock, and nutrition, among other areas), private sector partners, and utility staff. The dataset consists of the results from coding the interviews.

Kenya RAPID Performance Evaluation, 2020 Dataset
공공데이터포털
The Evaluation Team conducted interviews, by phone or other remote media, with approximately 70 key informants from USAID/KEA, SDC, Government of Kenya (national level), Kenya RAPID staff, Kenya RAPID implementing partner staff, county government officials (for WASH, pastoralist support, rangeland management, health, livestock, and nutrition, among other areas), private sector partners, and utility staff. To analyze the qualitative information, the Evaluation Team developed a simple coding tree and set of three to five key codes for each of the evaluation questions, as well as a special code to highlight key quotations from the qualitative data. Excerpts from interviews were grouped by codes based on the evaluation questions and topics (e.g., water, sanitation, nutrition, etc.). Coded excerpts were then allocated to team members by area of expertise for analysis and to identify patterns of responses by partner group, county and level of seniority. The dataset consists of the results from coding the interviews.
Kenya Integrated Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (KIWASH) Performance Evaluation 2018
공공데이터포털
Kenya Integrated WASH (KIWASH) KIWASH is a 5-year activity (October 2015 to September 2020) funded by USAID/KEA and implemented by a consortium led by Development Alternatives Incorporated (DAI). The goal of KIWASH is to improve lives and health through development and management of sustainable water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services in Kenya. USAID/KEA commissioned the USAID Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Partnerships and Learning for Sustainability (WASHPaLS) to undertake this performance evaluation at the start of the activity’s fourth year to assess the appropriateness of the KIWASH design, assess progress of implementation to-date, and inform future USAID/KEA WASH and nutrition programming.

Feed the Future Northern Kenya Zone of Influence Survey Baseline - Women's Empowerment in Agriculture Index (WEAI) Dataset
공공데이터포털
Feed the Future seeks to reduce poverty and undernutrition in 19 developing countries including Kenya by focusing on accelerating growth of the agricultural sector, addressing root causes of undernutrition, and reducing gender inequality. This dataset (n=14,055, var=11) is the first of two datasets needed to calculate the WEAI-related measures. It contains Module G data from the primary adult (18+) female decisionmaker within each household (for the sub-sample of households with a primary adult female decisionmaker).

2019 Njira Annual Survey, Malawi
공공데이터포털
Project Concern International (PCI)'s Pathways to Sustainable Food Security, Njira, was a five-year Food for Peace project funded by USAID from 2015 - 2019. Together with Emmanuel International (EI), the project aimed to reduce chronic malnutrition and food insecurity, and well as build resilience among vulnerable populations in Balaka and Machinga Districts through layered nutrition, health, WASH, agriculture, livelihoods, environmental, and risk reduction interventions. Each year of implementation, Njira conducted an annual beneficiary-based survey to assess whether the project was on track for achieving the intended outcomes for direct beneficiaries. Survey results were utilized to inform program performance, adjust interventions where appropriate, and meet donor reporting requirements. The survey had 3 components with differing sample frames: agriculture, health, and a general, the latter of which included any Njira participant in its sample frame and focused on a variety of topics. More details are included in the protocol. From 2017 - 2019, the annual survey questionnaires and protocol were nearly identical so direct comparisons across annual periods can be warranted, with the exception that data collection for 2017 and 2018 surveys occurred in September/October, and data collection for the 2019 survey occurred in June. Data was collected for the 2019 annual survey between June 1 - 21, 2019.
