2012 Sample Design Report
공공데이터포털
This report describes the sample design to the 2012 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH). A coordinated sample design was developed for the 2005 through 2009 NSDUHs. The 2010-2011 and 2012-2013 samples are extensions of the 5-year sample. This report describes the general sample allocation procedures for the main NSDUH study, the NSDUH\'s Mental Health Surveillance Study, and the Questionnaire Field Test.
NSDUH 2019 Sample Design Report
공공데이터포털
This report details the 2019 sample design for the NSDUH and covers the design overview, target population, and stages of sample selection. The design overview describes how the sample design remains consistent with NSDUH’s designs since 1991 and has extended coverage of the sample since then to include additional resident populations. The 2019 target population for this report comprises a civilian, noninstitutionalized population aged 12 years or older residing within the 50 states and the District of Columbia. There are three stages of sample selection that are explained in terms of how to select and aggregate the appropriate census tracts and segments based on state sampling regions (SSRs) for each state.
NSDUH 2020 Data Collection Final Report
공공데이터포털
This report describes data collection operations for the 2020 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH). It details the sampling, counting, and listing operations; data collection staffing; preparation of survey materials; field staff training; data collection (both in-person and web); data collection results; and quality control practices. It also includes information on Coronavirus 2019 safety protocols and training materials. The document is available as a PDF.
NSDUH 2022 Statistical Inference Report
공공데이터포털
Learn how to produce basic estimates with the 2022 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH). The report describes the techniques that were used to make the 2022 NSDUH Detailed Tables and the 2022 NSDUH Annual National Report, but users may also find these techniques useful for their own research with NSDUH. The report describes the calculation of estimates and sampling errors, degrees of freedom, and the procedures for determining when low-precision estimates should be suppressed. It also includes sample code in several statistical languages that data users can modify to use in their own research.Chapters:Introduction to the report. Background on the survey design, including redesign and questionnaire changes.Prevalence estimates and how they were calculated, including specifics on various topics presented in the detailed tables.Discussion of how missing item responses of variables that are not imputed may lead to biased estimates.Discussion of sampling errors and how they were calculated.Description of degrees of freedom and how they were used to compare estimates.Discussion of how the statistical significance of differences between estimates was determined.Discussion of confidence interval estimation.Discussion of when estimates with low precision were suppressed.Appendix A contains code samples for various statistical procedures documented within the report.
2012 NSDUH Sampling Error Report
공공데이터포털
This report compares the estimated (or realized) precisions of a key set of estimates with the targets for the 2012 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH). The report provides an overall of the 2012 sample design, describes relative standard errors and design effects, and the use of domain specific design effects for approximating standard error.
2014 NSDUH MRB Sample Experience Report
공공데이터포털
A coordinated sample design was developed for the 2014 through 2017 National Surveys on Drug Use and Health (NSDUHs). The multiyear design consists of a deeply stratified, multistage area probability design. The 2014 sample design is thoroughly documented in the 2014 NSDUH sample design report (Center for Behavioral Health Statistics and Quality, 2015a). The goal of this report is to further document the 2014 NSDUH sample experiences, including a comparison of actual sample yields to state and quarter targets, a comparison of achieved and expected design effects (DEFFs) and relative standard errors (RSEs), and documentation of any issues encountered during sample implementation. In addition, any unforeseen issues related to the 2014 sample redesign will be documented.

공공데이터포털
This National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) methodological report examines the trade-offs between cost savings and coverage as area segments are shifted from field enumeration to address-based sampling.
