The Correspondence category currently includes OIG responses to Congressional requests for information, OIG memoranda to Commerce and bureau leadership regarding OIG review of programs and policies as well as semiannual nonfederal audit results; and occasional miscellaneous postings (e.g., the results of OIG peer reviews by outside organizations). Sometimes, OIG responses to Congressional requests are issued as audit/inspection reports under “Audits/Evaluations.”

The USAID/OIG Audit Information Management System (AIMS) tracks OIG's audit recommendations and USAID's management decisions. OIG's in-house information technology experts and audit subject matter experts designed and developed the system to create statutorily required reports for Congress. The new system allows domestic and overseas users the benefit of realtime information and search capacity. It allows for the future possible integration of both audit and investigative databases. When fully operational, AIMS will include all audit report findings, recommendations, and management decisions, along with associated cost information.

OASIS is a complete, concise statement of the specific financial terms and conditions by which a Customer occupies GSA-controlled space, whether it is government-owned or leased by GSA on the Customer’s behalf. When a project is initiated, a draft OA is created. Designed to provide the greatest amount of flexibility and choice, the OA documents the Customer’s requirements as they evolve. It provides important information to guide decision making with regard to budget and other issues. It also records and finalizes all the agreed-upon terms and conditions of tenant occupancy, so that the Customer and GSA enter the agreement with the same understanding and expectations. The OA lets the Customer see what its costs will be and how various decisions will affect its rent bill. The assessment covers those agencies that received more than 50 requests and distinguishes between high and medium volume agencies, using a five-step scoring system to denote agency success for each milestone.
