Prescription Monitoring Program: Opioid and Non-Opioid Prescriptions
공공데이터포털
This dataset shows how many dispensed prescriptions were opioids and not an opioid. It only includes dispensations to CT residents reported to the CT Prescription Monitoring & Reporting System (CPMRS).
Prescription Monitoring Program Dashboard
공공데이터포털
This dashboard presents information from the CT Department of Consumer of Protection, Drug Control Division’s Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) on prescription records for Schedule II – V controlled substances, mandated by CT General Statutes Sec. 21a-254.
Prescription Monitoring Program: Schedule II Drug Prescriptions Dispensed
공공데이터포털
This dataset includes the amount of Schedule II prescription drugs dispensed over a 3-month span. On the controlled substance Schedule II-V; Schedule II prescription drugs have a high potential for abuse, potentially leading to severe psychological or physical dependence. Schedule II drugs are narcotic pain medications and stimulants. This only includes dispensations to CT residents reported to the CT Prescription Monitoring & Reporting System (CPMRS). *Please note that although medical marijuana is a schedule II drug in CT, these dispensations will be reported out separately.*
Prescription Monitoring Program: Schedule III Drug Prescriptions Dispensed
공공데이터포털
This dataset includes the amount of Schedule III prescription drugs dispensed over a 3-month span. On the controlled substance Schedule II-V; Schedule III prescription drugs have a potential for abuse less than Schedule II prescription drugs and have a moderate to low physical dependence or high psychological dependence (DEA). Schedule III prescriptions include narcotics and non-narcotics. It only includes dispensations to CT residents reported to the CT Prescription Monitoring & Reporting System (CPMRS).
Prescription Monitoring Program: Schedule IV Drug Prescriptions Dispensed
공공데이터포털
This dataset includes the amount of Schedule IV prescription drugs dispensed over a 3-month span, with the quarter ending March 2023. On the controlled substance Schedule II-V; Schedule IV prescription drugs have a low potential for abuse and low risk for dependence. Schedule IV drugs may be used for pain control. It only includes dispensations to CT residents reported to the CT Prescription Monitoring & Reporting System (CPMRS).
Prescription Monitoring Program: Schedule V Drug Prescriptions Dispensed
공공데이터포털
This dataset includes the amount of Schedule V prescription drugs, dispensed over a 3-month span. On the controlled substance Schedule II-V; Schedule V prescription drugs have a lower potential for abuse relative to substances in Schedule IV. Schedule V prescription drugs are generally used for antidiarrheal, antitussive, and analgesic purposes. It only includes dispensations to CT residents reported to the CT Prescription Monitoring & Reporting System (CPMRS).
Prescription Monitoring Program: Veterinarian Prescriptions
공공데이터포털
This dataset provides the number & percentage of veterinarian prescriptions for gabapentin, benzodiazepine, & opioid agonist dispensations. It only includes dispensations to CT residents reported to the CT Prescription Monitoring & Reporting System (CPMRS).
Prescription Monitoring Program: Payment of Prescriptions
공공데이터포털
This dataset shows how dispensed prescriptions were paid for. It only includes dispensations to CT residents reported to the CT Prescription Monitoring & Reporting System (CPMRS).
Prescription Monitoring Program: Prescription Dispensations
공공데이터포털
This dataset provides the prescription count for controlled substances, non-controlled substances, opioids, benzodiazepine, stimulant, gabapentin, & naloxone dispensations in the state. It only includes dispensations to CT residents reported to the CT Prescription Monitoring & Reporting System (CPMRS). Controlled substances are those that have been categorized as schedule II - V. Opioid Agonists are generally used to treat moderate to severe pain typically associated with injury, surgery, or various health conditions. Opioid partial agonists bind to opioid receptor sites and works slowly in the body to help prevent withdrawals and reduce cravings for opioid drugs. Opiate partial agonists are used to treat opioid use disorder. Prescription opioid partial agonists include buprenorphine, butorphanol, and pentazocine. Benzodiazepines slow down the central nervous system, and often used to relieve anxiety and muscle spasms, as well as reduce seizures. Stimulants increase alertness and energy, enhancing focus. Stimulants are commonly used to treat attention-deficit hyperactivity disorders (ADHD). Gabapentin is an anticonvulsant or antiepileptic drug, used to treat seizures and relieve pain. Naloxone is used to quickly reverse an opioid overdose. Naloxone is an opioid antagonist, and works by attaching to opioid receptors, to reverse and block the effects of other opioids.
Prescription Monitoring Program: Proportion of Opioid Agonists per Morphine Milligram Equivalent (MME) Category
공공데이터포털
This dataset shows the proportion of opioid agonists per Morphine Milligram Equivalent (MME) of opioid prescription dispensed. The morphine milligram equivalent is an opioid dosage equivalent to morphine. This measurement is used to determine the abuse and overdose potential, and to set thresholds for prescribing and dispensing opioids. The lowest effective dosage is set at less than 50 MME and the highest is greater than 90 MME.
