A handling unit (10) imager records high speed camera images (13) of an object (32) at several positions on its track (36) and analyses (46, 49) them to recognise the object using its speed and acceleration dynamic characteristics and intitiate warning or speed change action when position related limits are exceeded. Independent claims are included for the handling unit and the procedures used.

The invention concerns a device (1) for manipulating tools comprising two parts, said device being of the type consisting of a frame and at least one tray forming a table, designed to receive the mold. The invention is characterized in that it comprises two horizontally arranged trays (6, 9-7, 8) one of which is arranged sliding on the frame to be mobile in translation relative to the other tray, from a close position to a remote position and inversely, so as to enable the tool to be manually opened and closed.

The device has a measuring tape (4) attached by clamping to a concave surface (3) of a carrier body (1). The extent of the concave surface is defined by detent surfaces (6,7) on each end of the measuring tape. The invention is directed to an apparatus for controlling at least one electronic device, comprising a haptic input means, an acoustic input means, and a switching means for switching between the acoustic input means and the haptic input means, such that an input is received by the apparatus via only one input means at a time. The invention is also directed to a method for inputting data using an apparatus comprising a haptic input means, an acoustic input means and a switching means for switching between the input means, comprising the steps of receiving input via one of the input means, switching from the one input means to the other input means upon receipt of a switching command by the switching means, and receiving input via the other input means wherein input is received by the apparatus via only one input means at a time.

A planographic printing plate precursor comprises: a support; and a recording layer disposed on the support, the recording layer comprising a lower layer and an upper layer disposed on the lower layer, wherein the lower layer contains a resin having in a main chain structure a phenol skeleton and a urea bond, the upper layer contains a water-insoluble alkali-soluble resin and an infrared absorber, and the solubility of the upper layer in an aqueous alkali solution is increased by exposure. The planographic printing plate precursor can be produced directly through scanning exposure based on digital signals. It is superior in reproducibility of highly fine images and also superior in printing durability and chemical resistance of small-area image areas such as halftone dots and thin lines.
