PCBs BSAF Data 1Feb2024
Fish biometric data and fish tissue data (total PCB concentration, lipid content, carbon and nitrogen stable isotope ratios) associated with the study "Incorporating habitat use and life history to predict PCBs residues in fish" by Hoffman et al. Sediment data (total PCB concentration, carbon content) can be found in the NOAA DIVER data portal and the link is included. This dataset is associated with the following publication: Hoffman, J., T. Hollenhorst, G. Peterson, J. Launspach, E. Coffman, and L. Burkhard. Incorporating habitat use and life history to predict PCB residues in wild fish in an urban estuary. MARINE POLLUTION BULLETIN. Elsevier Science Ltd, New York, NY, USA, 209: 117271, (2024).

PCB Data (excel file) and PFAS Data (excel file)
공공데이터포털
Analytical and field sampling data for each 2018-2019 NRSA Fish Tissue Study chemical contaminant are provided, along with a data dictionary that describes the contents of each data file. All results for the fillet tissue concentrations are reported on a wet weight basis. All the fish fillet samples analyzed contained detectable levels of mercury and PCBs, and PFAS were detected in 95% of the fillet samples. This dataset is associated with the following publication: Stahl, L., B.D. Snyder, H.B. McCarty, T. Kincaid, A. Olsen, T.R. Cohen, and J. Healey. Contaminants in Fish from U.S. Rivers: Probability-Based National Assessments. SCIENCE OF THE TOTAL ENVIRONMENT. Elsevier BV, AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS, 861(25): 160557, (2023).

Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCB) Residue Effects Database
공공데이터포털
The PCB Residue Effects (PCBRes) Database was developed to assist scientists and risk assessors in correlating PCB and dioxin-like compound residues with toxic effects. The purpose is to develop PCB critical residue values for fish, mammals and birds, especially as these relate to aquatic and aquatic-dependent species.

Total PCB concentrations in sediment, water, macroinvertebrates and spiders and the lower Ottawa River (Toledo, OH) between 2009-2015.
공공데이터포털
Polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) concentrations were measured in the lower Ottawa River in 2009 before dredging and after dredging in 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2015. Media collected for analysis included sediment, water, macroinvertebrates, and tetragnathid spiders at 18 stations. At each station 16 surface sediment core samples (top 15 cm) were collected and composited together with a mechanical mixer to achieve a homogeneous composite sample. Mid-depth water column samples were collected using a Van Dorn, Niskin or similar type sampler. Artificial substrate samplers (Hester Dendys) were used to collect aquatic macroinvertebrates. Riparian spiders (family Tetragnathidae) were collected from their webs by gloved hand at night within 1 meter of the shoreline at each sampling station. All extracts were analyzed for 121 PCB congeners via gas chromotography mass spectroscopy in the selected ion monitoring mode based on U.S. EPA Method 1668A and quantified using the method of internal standards.
Chemical, physical, phytoplankton biomass, and other data were collected using plankton net as part of the California Cooperative Fisheries Investigation (CALCOFI) project, from 1971-06-19 to 1977-06-15 (NCEI Accession 8300195)
공공데이터포털
Chlorophyll a and Phaeophytin A data collected by various ships in Monterey Bay, California. The data were collected from June 19, 1971 to June 15, 1977 as part of California Cooperative Fisheries Investigations (CALCOFI) project. The original data were recorded in ASCII and submitted on an unlabeled 9-track 1600 BPI magnetic tape. The documentation includes a record format description and title pages of technical reports associated with this investigation. Principal Investigator was Dr. Mary Silver. The study was carried out by University of California at Santa Cruz, Monterey Bay, California.

Florida Panhandle: FISH (Polygons)
공공데이터포털
This data set contains sensitive biological resource data for marine, estuarine, and freshwater species in the Florida Panhandle. Vector polygons in this data set represent fish distribution and aggregation areas. Species specific abundance, seasonality, status, life history, and source information are stored in relational data tables (described below) designed to be used in conjunction with this spatial data layer. This data set comprises a portion of the ESI data for Florida. ESI data characterize the marine and coastal environments and wildlife by their sensitivity to spilled oil. The ESI data include information for three main components: shoreline habitats, sensitive biological resources, and human-use resources.
