Percent Coverage
공공데이터포털
The Percent Coverage is a spreadsheet that keeps track of and compares the number of vessels that have departed with and without observers to the numbers of vessels that have departed with observers and is updated weekly or bi-weekly. There is one spreadsheet for the deep set fishery and one for the shallow set fishery.
Vessel Activity Record
공공데이터포털
The Vessel Activity Record is a bi-weekly spreadsheet that shows the status of fishing vessels. It records whether fishing vessels are fishing without an observer onboard, with an observer on board or in port.
American Samoa Boat-based Creel Survey
공공데이터포털
Boat-based creel survey data have been collected and processed by the American Samoa Department of Marine and Wildlife Resources (DMWR) staff since about 1982 and are continuing. Creel surveys consist of 2 major sub-surveys, one to identify the level of fishing participation for each fishing method used in the Territory, and one to determine the catch rate, species composition, and sizes of fish (and invertebrates) for each fishing method and fishing sector. The most structured and consistent surveys have been conducted on the main island of Tutuila and there are also some less robust data for the Manu'a islands. Boat-based surveys are access-point surveys and include all major and some minor ports and marinas where fishing boats launch or are berthed. Fishing areas are limited to the areas around American Samoa as boats included in these surveys are generally less than about 40 feet.
Vessel Arrival Info - Legacy
공공데이터포털
The Vessel Arrival Info is a spreadsheet that gets filled out during the initial stage of the debriefing process by the debriefer. It contains vessel name, trip number, trip dates, number of sets, set number, set date and logbook page number per set. The completed Vessel Arrival Info is emailed to the logbook POC for verification.
American Samoa Longline Trip Log
공공데이터포털
The American Samoa Longline Trip Log is an annual Excel spreadsheet to record trip information about observed longline trips. This trip information includes the trip number, vessel name, vessel documentation number, operator name, observer name, departure date, departure port, arrival date, arrival port, days at sea and trip type.
CNMI, American Samoa, and Guam Small Boat Fishery Trip Expenditure (2009 to present)
공공데이터포털
This is a time-series dataset of trip expenditure data including actual fishing trip expenses, input usage, and input prices, for boat-based reef fish, bottomfish, and pelagic fisheries in CNMI, American Samoa, and Guam. Specifically, the surveys intend to collect information on: gallons of fuel used for the fishing trip, price per gallon of fuel, cost of ice used, cost of bait & chum used, cost of fishing gear lost, and the engine type of the boat. These economic data are collected through an add-on to boat-based creel surveys initiated by local fisheries agencies in CNMI, American Samoa, and Guam to collect fisheries dependent data. The data collection program was implemented in April 2009 in CNMI, August 2009 in American Samoa, and September 2011 in Guam.
Incident Report - Legacy
공공데이터포털
The Incident Report is a mandatory post trip legal document observers fill out to report any enforcement related situations they have encountered on an observed trip that get passed on the NOAA Office of Law Enforcement or the United States Coast Guard. These can include harassment, interference, rule infraction, MARPOL violations or other.
Commercial Vessel Density October 2009-2010 AIS UTM15
공공데이터포털
These data were generated to provide insight into marine traffic patterns on a macro scale so they could be analyzed across the coastal waters of the Continental United States, this data set is for the UTM Zone 15N. For this dataset a transit is counted for every unique vessel intersecting a 1 kilometer square grid cell each day. This data represents the total number of vessel transits from October 2009 - October 2010. Some grid cells were unable to be processed, but this does not interfere with the integrity of this dataset. Please note multiple connection errors occurred during the time frame of this study. In most cases data gaps were filled by making subsequent request to the coastguard or other groups receiving the same data feed. However, due to resource constraints uninterrupted coverage was not obtained. Overall data outages were minimal on the order less than a day per month and because random and affect all areas uniformly do not has a significant effect on the integrity of the data. Also as stated on the USCG NAIS website AIS data is not representative of all vessel traffic and USCG NAIS receivers do not fully cover the entire extent of this study area. Please take time to understand both of these limitations.
Commercial Vessel Density October 2009-2010 AIS UTM19

These data were generated to provide insight into marine traffic patterns on a macro scale so they could be analyzed across the coastal waters of the Continental United States, this data set is for the UTM Zone 19N. For this dataset a transit is counted for every unique vessel intersecting a 1 kilometer square grid cell each day. 공공데이터포털
These data were generated to provide insight into marine traffic patterns on a macro scale so they could be analyzed across the coastal waters of the Continental United States, this data set is for the UTM Zone 17N. For this dataset a transit is counted for every unique vessel intersecting a 1 kilometer square grid cell each day.
