Performance Metrics - Streets & Sanitation - Graffiti Removal
The Department of Streets & Sanitation's (DSS) Graffiti Blasters crews offer a vandalism removal service to private property owners. This metric tracks the average number of days DSS takes to complete graffiti removal requests per week. Median days to complete requests as well as total number of requests fulfilled per week are available by mousing over columns. The Controller's Office's City Services Auditor (CSA) Division has worked with the Department of Public Works (DPW) to develop maintenance standards for streets and sidewalks and schedules and inspect for compliance since July 2004, as mandated by 2003 Prop. C. This data file contains street and sidewalk evaluation results from 7/1/2013 to 6/30/18 under the FY12 standards. Older evaluation results are also available on DataSF but are not comparable due to changes in the way the standards are calculated. Since July 2004, San Francisco’s Charter has required the Controller’s Office (CON) to work with San Francisco Public Works (Public Works) to develop and implement street and sidewalk maintenance standards and report out on the City’s condition under the standards. This data file contains street and sidewalk evaluation results from 1/1/2022 to 6/30/2024. Older evaluation results are also available on DataSF but are not comparable due to changes in the way the standards are calculated.
