Select watershed attributes for California stream segments (NHDPlus V.1)
This data set includes 28 physical watershed attributes for each of 135,118 stream segments (National Hydrodraphy Dataset, Version 1) in California. These data were used to support a report entitled: "Classification of California streams using combined deductive and inductive approaches: setting the foundation for analysis of hydrologic alteration" authored by Pyne, Carlisle, Konrad, and Stein, and published in the journal Ecohydrology. Specifically, these data were used in a classification (ie, cluster) analysis to identify unique groupings of watersheds with similar hydrological characteristics.

Empirical Models for Estimating Baseline Streamflows in California and their Likelihood of Anthropogenic Modification
공공데이터포털
The dataset contain estimates of natural monthly streamflow for 135,118 stream segments in California, USA, from 1950 to 2012. Segments are identified per the medium resolution National Hydrography Dataset (NHD), Version 1. The dataset also contains observed monthly streamflows and estimates of natural monthly streamflows for 894 USGS stream gages in California, USA.

Watershed Boundary Dataset (WBD)
공공데이터포털
The Watershed Boundary Dataset (WBD) from The National Map (TNM) defines the perimeter of drainage areas formed by the terrain and other landscape characteristics. The drainage areas are nested within each other so that a large drainage area, such as the Sacramento River, will be composed of multiple smaller drainage areas, such as the Feather River. Each of these smaller areas can further be subdivided into smaller and smaller drainage areas. The WBD uses six different levels in this hierarchy, with the smallest averaging about 30,000 acres. The WBD is made up of polygons nested into six levels of data respectively defined by Regions, Subregions, Basins, Subbasins, Watersheds, and Subwatersheds. For additional information on the WBD, go to https://www.usgs.gov/core-science-systems/ngp/national-hydrography/watershed-boundary-dataset. DWR is the steward for NHD and WBD in California. We work with other organizations to edit and improve NHD and WBD, using the business rules for California. California's WBD improvements are sent to USGS for certification and incorporation to the national geodatabase. The certified WBD is included within the National Hydrography Dataset downloadable file geodatabase, and is also available in shapefile format and as web map services accessible from the USGS website. Drainage areas for stream segments in western San Diego County
공공데이터포털
Drainage areas (or watersheds) were calculated for each stream segment in the National Hydrography Dataset High Resolution Plus Beta (NHD HR Plus Beta) using non-end junction points and the provided hydrologically enforced Digital Elevation Model (DEM). The DEM was used to create a flow direction raster. The pour points used were determined from junction points at each stream intersection excluding stream ends (i.e. channel heads are not included). Watershed calculations were automated using the ArcGIS "watershed" tool and then edited manually for accuracy. In western San Diego County (non-desert) there were 39,980 drainage areas calculated. The percent impervious in each watershed was calculated using the National Land Cover Dataset 2019 Impervious surface.

Subset of 8-digit Hydrologic Unit Code (HUC) watershed shapefile for the greater Central Valley, California - Data
공공데이터포털
This subset of the USGS Water Boundary Dataset contains the polygons of the 50 8-digit Hydrologic Units that comprise the greater Central Valley study site. The Watershed Boundary Dataset is a comprehensive set of digital spatial data that represents the surface drainages areas of the United States. The information included with the features includes a feature date, a unique common identifier, name, the feature length or area, and other characteristics. Names and their identifiers are assigned from the Geographic Names Information System. The data also contains relations that encode metadata. The names and definitions of all these feature attributes are in the Federal Standards and Procedures for the National Watershed Boundary Dataset (WBD). The document is available online at https://pubs.usgs.gov/tm/11/a3/
