The NSW SPOT6/7 imagery product is a state-wide satellite imagery product provided by DCS Spatial for NSW Government. The images were captured January 2020 through to April 2020. The imagery scenes used to create the NSW mosaic includes Lord Howe Island. This imagery data set has been acquired through Geospatial Intelligence Pty Ltd who partnered with GeoImages Pty Ltd and Airbus Defence and Space. SPOT imagery products offer high resolution over broad areas using the SPOT 6/7 satellites. A SPOT satellite acquisition covers large areas in a single pass at resolutions up to 1.5m. Such precise coverage is ideal for applications at national and regional scales from 1:250,000 to 1:15,000. SPOT 6/7 also includes the benefits of the near-infrared (NIR) which enables applications for detection of features not visible to the human eye, such as detecting and monitoring vegetation health. Data products supplied for all of NSW are: State-wide mosaic 100k Mapsheet tiles Multi spectral scenes Panchromatic scenes Shapefile cutlines of statewide mosaic The statewide mosaic is provided as a Red Green Blue (RGB) band combination; contrast enhanced lossless 8-bit JPEG2000 file (553gb in size). Individual 100k mapsheet mosaics contain BGR+NIR band combination; unenhanced 16-bit GeoTIFF format tile with an ESRI world file. The NSW mosaic is available from internal DPE APOLLO Image Webserver for DCCEEW employees. The 4band 100k mapsheet tiles are available for download from JDAP. For users who require a [WGS 84-aligned-to-GDA94] service the original NSW Base Map Web Serviceis still available.Disclaimer: This Cached Map Tile service is created directly from the GDA94 Cached Map Tile service by simply shifting pixels by a distance equivalent to the GDA94 > NTv2-CPD > GDA2020 transformation. This shift must be a whole number of pixels. As a result, where raster tiles are provided at low-resolution, the display location may differ from true GDA2020 location. For example, a tile at ‘zoom level 18’, with 60 cm pixel resolution, may appear offset from GDA2020 by ~30cm.Metadata Portal Metadata Information Content TitleNSW Base MapContent TypeBasemapDescriptionThe NSW Base Map web service depicts a map of NSW using layers from the Digital Topographic Database, the Geocoded Urban and Rural Addressing System database and the Digital Cadastral Database. This includes:roadspoints of interestlocalitieslandformdrainagecultural dataparks and forestsproperty boundariesstreet address numbers.Web service uses/fitness for purpose This web service allows users to easily integrate a NSW base map into Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) compliant spatial platforms and applications. NSW Land Parcel and Property Theme Road Corridor is a polygon dataset that represents spatial extents of roads, and maintenance boundaries. NSW Land Parcel and Property Theme Road Corridor is made up of the following data:· Road Corridor: Represents the spatial extent of the legal road network Land and property data underpins the economic, social and environmental fabric of NSW and is used, amongst other things, to: · Secure tenure for access to capital · Define allowable use of land · Manage native title, nature conservation, heritage, protection, defence, and disaster management · Improve infrastructure and property development planning · Inform water and carbon accounting programs. Spatial Services continuously updates the Land Parcel and Property theme with information sourced from relevant stakeholders and custodians. The majority of updates to the datasets in this theme originate from subdivision, registration and gazettal activity. The data is up to date to within 10 working days from when a plan is lodged at Spatial Services. Data is also sourced from Crown Lands, the Office of Environment and Heritage, the Aboriginal Land Council, Local Land Services, the Electoral Commission and the Department of Trade and Investment. Data quality for both Cadastral Maintenance and Cadastral Upgrade activities are assured through specification compliance and data topology rules.
