Byron LGA Vegetation 2021 VIS ID 5109
Byron Shire Council Vegetation was mapped using a combination of aerial photograph interpretation (API), reviewing existing information (eg. vegetation survey data from various council and state government projects), and on-ground site inspections. It was originally mapped in 2015 from 2009 and 2012 aerial photography, updated spatially by Landmark Ecological Services Pty Ltd in 2017 along with PCT classes, and slightly revised in 2019 and again in 2021. Vegetation mapping of Cape Byron State Conservation Area and Arakwal National Park, 2013. VIS ID 4385
공공데이터포털
A vegetation survey, classification and mapping program of Cape Byron State Conservation Area and Arakwal National Park was carried out during 2007-8 by Andy Baker of Wildsite Ecological Services Pty Ltd. It was a North Coast NPWS Region contract, mapped at 1:25000 scale. The mapping was revised and the report finalised in 2013. The mapping was clipped to the SCA and NP boundary in 2013 and hence the mapping covers a slightly smaller area. This is perhaps why both the 2008 and 2013 versions have been retained. Cape Byron SRA (101 ha) and Arakwal NP (200 ha) are situated on the far North Coast of NSW immediately east of Byron Bay in the Byron Shire local government area. The reserves fall within the NSW North Coast biogeographic region of Thackway and Cresswell (1995), and the North Coast botanical subdivision of Anderson (1961). Cape Byron SCA and Arakwal NP consists of a contiguous area of coastal vegetation that extends from the headland hill complex of Cape Byron in the north, and onto the Quaternary barrier deposits and adjoining low coastal hills and slopes to the south. A separate western section of Arakwal NP includes estuarine deposits and lower hill slopes. Some additional small areas of contiguous vegetation on adjoining lands, and managed by Byron Shire Council Land and the NSW Department of Lands, are included in the study area. The total extent of the study area is 302.8 ha. The main aims of the study were to identify, classify and map all extant vegetation within the study area, identify vegetation and flora of conservation significance, and also identify any processes currently threatening the vegetation. To this end, all vegetation has been surveyed and mapped via aerial photographic interpretation, extensive ground truthing and data analysis. Targeted sampling was undertaken using 62 survey plots each of 0.04ha. Examination of floristic relationships and refinement of the final classification was undertaken using the PATN hierarchical clustering program. VIS_ID 4385
Tweed LGA Vegetation 2012. VIS ID 3912
공공데이터포털
Tweed Shire Council Local Government Area Vegetation Mapping from various sources including Comprehensive Regional Assessment (CRA) data and further refined up to 2012. In 2011 an update of the mapping was undertaken by Mark Kingston and Peter Hall. The bushland boundaries of Council’s existing vegetation mapping layer were updated and revised at approximately 1:5000 scale consistent with shire wide aerial photography captured during October 2009. Real and apparent changes to bushland between 2007 and 2009 are also reported. Boundaries between vegetation communities within areas of bushland were not updated. NB. The current version was finalised January 2012 but was named Tweed_veg_2009_update by the Council since it was updated using Aerial Photography from 2009. VIS_ID 3912.
Maitland LGA Vegetation 2003. VIS ID 444
공공데이터포털
Maitland City Council(MCC)Vegetation Mapping by Lisa Hill in 2003. Vegetation distribution map for lands within the extent of the local government area, excluding those contained within National Park or State Forest Reserves. Systematic vegetation survey was carried out in Maitland LGA to provide Maitland Council with detailed information on natural vegetation for strategic planning purposes. Flora was sampled at 55 field sites (plots) and extensive field reconnaissance was carried out across the LGA. Agglomerative cluster analysis of plot data delineated eleven vegetation communities and an additional two communities were described by previous work in the LGA work (NPWS 2000). A total of 8,305 ha of extant vegetation was mapped in Maitland LGA using aerial photograph interpretation (API) at 1:25,000 scale. This included thirteen vegetation communities and areas of scattered trees and regeneration that did not constitute intact communities. Much of the vegetation in the LGA has affiliation with vegetation in the central, lower and mid Hunter valley, with areas in the south-east of the LGA more related to coastal vegetation in the lower Hunter-Central Coast Region. Ryde LGA Urban Bushland Map, 1998. VIS ID 3960.
공공데이터포털
In November 1998, Ryde Council commissioned a bushland corridor mapping project with the aim of gaining an overview of the extent and type of remnant bushland and other vegetation in the Ryde LGA. The study’s main aims were firstly to map all remnant bushland in the Ryde LGA and to digitise the information for useon Council’s GIS system. VIS_ID 3960 In August 2000, Council expanded the study to update the vegetation maps and to prepare a comprehensive information database for the management and restoration of bushland and other vegetation in Ryde. This was a further step towards compiling information that would better allow Council to achieve the objectives of Council’s Plan of Management for natural areas.
Lord Howe Island Vegetation Map 2016 VIS ID 4450
공공데이터포털
Fine scale vegetation communities mapped at 1:1,000 resolution across the Lord Howe Island Group (LHIG) are based on 2012, ADS40 digital aerial imagery captured at 10 cm resolution (LPI). The updated vegetation data and report will assist the LHI Board to better manage vegetation communities across the World Heritage Area, particularly within the settlement area where spatial accuracy in the delineation of native vegetation is critical and will assist and inform actions undertaken in delivering biodiversity management.
