Vegetation survey and mapping of Killarney State Conservation Area in 2008, commissioned by NPWS Narrabri Region. Six communities were determined based on floristic analysis of 20 x 20 m survey sites, and described using dominant species and structural characteristics. Vegetation communities were mapped using ground truthing, position in landscape and stereo interpretation of aerial photos captured at 1:50,000. Lineage and attribution accuracy are unknown. The vegetation of Ledknapper NR is described and mapped. Seven communities are defined based on classification (Kulczynski association) with further sub-assemblages described. These seven communities were mapped based on ground truthing, air photo interpretation and soil. Most communities are of open woodland, shrubland or grassland structure. GIS based vegetation map at 1:50,000 scale of State Forests, National Parks estate and crown land within or directly adjacent to the Brigalow Belt South Bioregion (south of Narrabri), suitable for use in conservation and resource assessment, planning and management.; Existing mapping data assessed for suitability in meeting project objectives, by examining the floristic attributes, age of mapping and mapping methodology. 1,296 existing plots were documented from field surveys conducted between 1986 and 1999, with 474 new plots subsequently sampled in six planning areas. While the total number of plots analysed for the Bioregion was 1,264, the species lists were generated from a total of 2,554 available plots. (VIS ID 1028)
