State Road Hierarchy
The State-owned road network consists of approximately 3500km of road. It is a subset of the broader road network that focuses on connectivity and movement functions at State and regional levels. The State network primarily consist of roads that provide connectivity between cities, major towns, rural catchments and key port and air transport hubs. It is intended to provide a strategic classification for the management and planning of the State's transport system.

Median Barrier (on State Owned Roads)
공공데이터포털
Median barriers are longitudinal barriers most commonly used to separate opposing directions of traffic on a divided highway. This is the authoritative spatial dataset used in the administration and management of 'median barriers' and records the location of median barriers on the 'State Government Proclaimed Road' network. This is one of the key datasets for the Road Information Management System (Database) and is captured and stored with a Linear Referencing System (LRS) and a coordinate reference system.
State Highways and Subsidiary Roads
공공데이터포털
LIST Transport Segment data is a subset of the LIST Transport Segment data and comprises transport routes with highway status. The subset has been created to provide clarity on ownership of roads (Authority). Metadata for each line is linked to the Transport Segment layer through the Feature Metadata Pointer (FMP) attribute.
Road Dimensions - Road Geometry (on State owned roads)
공공데이터포털
Road Geometry measures for the Proclaimed State Road network are contained in this dataset. The measures were collected in 2012 by vehicular instruments by the ARRB Group (Consultants). Instantaneous measures were collected at a ten metre intervals (for prescribed and counter direction) and include: Heights (AHD), Bearing, Grade, Vertical Curvature, Horizontal Curvature, Cross Slope & Geometry Speed. The survey is usually undertaken every three years.
State Road reserve
공공데이터포털
The State Road reserve identifies land parcels on which State Roads infrastructure is built or surrounds the road network. These areas are reserved for & used as road corridors. These areas are either described by volume and folio reference, or mapped as a buffer to road centre lines. State Roads reserve areas are routinely zoned under the Tasmanian Planning Scheme State Planning Provisions as 'Utility Zone'.
