Oceanographic data collected during the EX1605L2 (CAPSTONE CNMI & Mariana Trench MNM (Mapping)) expedition on NOAA Ship OKEANOS EXPLORER in the North Pacific Ocean from 2016-05-20 to 2016-06-11 (NCEI Accession 0155917)
공공데이터포털
This dataset contains oceanographic data collected in the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands (CNMI), beginning in Mutan, Saipan and concluding in Santa Rita, Guam. Exploration operations for this cruise focused on deep-water areas near the northern edge of CNMI and the Trench and Islands units of the Marianas Trench Marine National Monument (MTMNM). Operations used the shipâs deep water mapping systems and the shipâs high-bandwidth satellite connection for periodic real-time ship to shore communications. This leg of the CAPSTONE Expeditions was a 24-hour mapping cruise that focused on previously unmapped sites within the CNMI US EEZ and MTMNM, all of which occurred in U.S. waters.
Oceanographic data collected during EX1701 (Kingman/Palmyra, Jarvis (Mapping)) expedition on NOAA Ship OKEANOS EXPLORER in the South Pacific Ocean from 2017-01-18 to 2017-02-10 (NCEI Accession 0162263)
공공데이터포털
This dataset contains oceanographic data collected in Pago Pago, American Samoa. Operations focused within several marine protected areas and included the use of the shipâs deep water mapping systems (Kongsberg EM302 multibeam sonar, EK60 split-beam fisheries sonars, ADCPs, and Knudsen 3260 chirp sub-bottom profiler sonar), and the shipâs high-bandwidth satellite connection for real-time ship to shore communications. Focused mapping areas occurred in the Pacific Remote Islands Marine National Monument (PRIMNM) (U.S.) in the vicinity of Kingman Reef and Palmyra Atoll, and Jarvis Island, as well as in the Phoenix Islands Protected Area (PIPA) (Republic of Kiribati).
Oceanographic data collected during the EX1709 (Eastern Pacific Mapping (Telepresence Mapping)) expedition on NOAA Ship OKEANOS EXPLORER in the North Pacific Ocean from 2017-10-16 to 2017-11-11
공공데이터포털
This dataset contains oceanographic data collected along the Clarion-Clipperton Fracture Zone and the transit track between Honolulu, Hawaii and Balboa, Panama. Operations for this cruise included the use of the ship's deep water mapping system and high-bandwidth satellite connection for hourly data transfer, real-time ship to shore communications, real-time sonar control from shore, and real-time video streaming of sonar screens and ship's cameras. Data acquisition from shipboard sensors includes navigation data, meteorological data (wind, air temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure), and oceanographic data (thermosalinograph, sound velocity probe, bathythermograph, CTD, GTD, processed Winkler titration data, dissolved gases and nutrient data, and digital camera imagery). Operations also included the use of the ship's Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCP).
Oceanographic data and information collected during the EX1703 Howland/Baker PRIMNM and PIPA (ROV/Mapping) expedition on NOAA Ship OKEANOS EXPLORER in the South Pacific Ocean from 2017-03-07 to 2017-03-29 (NCEI Accession 0162616)

This dataset contains oceanographic data collected in Apia, Samoa. Operations were conducted within several marine protected areas and included the use of the shipâs deep water mapping systems (Kongsberg EM302 multibeam sonar, EK60 split-beam fisheries sonars, Knudsen 3260 chirp sub-bottom profiler sonar, and Teledyne Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers), and XBT casts in support of multibeam sonar mapping operations, OERâs 6000 m two-body ROV Deep Discoverer and Seirios, and the shipâs high-bandwidth satellite connection for continuous real-time ship-to-shore communications. Operations were planned in Tokelau, Kiribatiâs Phoenix Islands Protected Area (PIPA), the Howland and Baker unit of the Pacific Remote Islands Maine National Monument (PRIMNM), National Marine Sanctuary of American Samoa, and Samoa.
