2003 Blood Corticosterone Common Loons: Data
To help determine whether Hg had a causal effect on corticosterone, we investigated the impact of experimental Hg intake on the corticosterone stress response in captive juvenile loons. Juveniles were subjected to three different feeding regimes: 0, 0.4 and 1.2 µg Hg (as MeHgCL)/g wet weight (ww) fish. We then measured baseline and 30 min post-solitary confinement stressor corticosterone concentrations. The data set consists of times of blood draws and dietary Hg levels. Blood samples and data set were provided to the senior author for analysis.

Pacific Northwest Avian Scavenger Lead and Mercury Dataset, 2012-2016
공공데이터포털
The dataset includes the bird species, region where sampled, sampling site, capture location, mercury concentration in whole blood, lead concentration in whole blood, sulfur stable isotope concentration in blood plasma, carbon isotope concentration in blood plasma, whole blood ALAD activity, and fecal corticosterone concentrations.
Mortality, morphology, and water chemistry for 6PPD-quinone exposed coho embryos
공공데이터포털
Coho salmon have been shown to be highly sensitive to the tire-derived chemical 6PPD-quinone. Concentrations contained in stormwater and in urban streams during the fall spawning season are sufficient to induce mortality in up to 90% of the entire fall coho run, threating the long-term survival of populations in urban areas. Another area of concern is survival of coho salmon embryos of adults that successfully reach spawning grounds. This dataset encompasses two separate experiments assessing survival and morphology of embryos exposed to measured concentrations of 6PPD-quinone during development.
Is Sensitivity to Anticoagulant Rodenticides Affected by Repeated Exposure in Hawks?
공공데이터포털
- Observations of test subjects, - Body weight Reproductive Data for All Nests Monitored - Estimates of test diet consumption - Hematocrit - Clotting time parameters (prothrombin time, Russell’s viper venom time, fibrinogen concentration)
Serum osmolality, cortisol, and protein in laboratory common carp (Cyprinus carpio)
공공데이터포털
Common carp were placed into three treatment groups based on levels of induced stress in the laboratory setting. Measurements of common carp blood serum cortisol and serum protein were collected by spectrophotometry. Additionally, serum osmolality measurements were obtained by vapor pressure osmometry. Fish weights were taken at the time of blood collection.
Toxicological responses to sublethal anticoagulant rodenticide exposure in free-flying red-tailed hawks
공공데이터포털
Entity 1 provides data on 1. RTHAs (Treatment, ID, Origin, Sex, Mate, Initial body weight, Body weight at release and Change in body weight during the CPN exposure period). 2. ICPN exposure (Amount of BTPD consumed per day per hawk and CPN residue concentrations in BTPD livers). 3. RTHA response to CPN exposure (Coagulopathy, Ptiloerection duration and frequency, and the number of days that free-flying RTHAs were detected or not detected. Entity 2 provides data of: 1. CPN residue concentrations in livers of control BTPDs and CPN residue concentrations in livers of the control BTPDs after some of the samples were reanalyzed with three blanks between samples.
Brodifacoum toxicity in American kestrels (Falco sparverius) with evidence of increased hazard upon subsequent anticoagulant rodenticide exposure
공공데이터포털
- Observations of test subjects, - Body weight - Estimates of test diet consumption - Hematocrit - Clotting time parameters (prothrombin time, Russell’s viper venom time, fibrinogen concentration) - Residues of brodifacoum and chlorophacinone in tissue
Cortisol Concentration Data from Polar Bear (Ursus maritimus) Hair Collected in the Bering, Chukchi, and Beaufort Seas, Alaska
공공데이터포털
This data release contains one table which includes the concentration of cortisol from polar bear (Ursus maritimus) hair and morphometric data from some of the captured bears. We assayed concentration of cortisol in hair (HCC) from polar bears captured in the Alaska Beaufort, Bering and Chukchi Seas during 1983–1989 and 2004–2018. Fields include the individual polar bear identifier (bearID), the date (sampleDate) and time (sampleTime) of sample collection, location that the sample was collected (latitude and longitude), agency that collected the sample (agency), sex of the polar bear (sex), the age of the polar bear at the time of sample collection (bearAge), categorical indicator of the age of the bear from which the sample was collected (ageCode), categorical indicator of the age of accompanying dependent young (cubAgeClass), the age and reproductive status of the bear at year-1 for spring captured bears, or the age and reproductive status of the bear at year-0 for autumn captured bears (reproClass), straight-line body length (SLBL), corrected straight-line body length (correctedSLBL), heart girth (girth), body mass (mass), and concentration of cortisol (cortisolAssay_pg_mg), and morphometric data for some of the bears captured.
