Zooplankton data were collected using zooplankton net casts and other instruments in the Delaware Bay and North Atlantic Ocean from November 3, 1976 to November 18, 1977. Data were submitted by Virginia Institute of Marine Science - Gloucester Point as part of the Ocean Continental Shelf (OCS - Mid Atlantic) project. Data were processed by NODC to the NODC standard Zooplankton (F004) format. The F124 format is used for data from sampling and analysis of marine zooplankton. Information on zooplankton abundance, distribution, and productivity derived from these data support studies of marine populations and ecosystems. Data reported may include: cruise information, position, date, and time of sampling; bottom depth, sampling depths, temperature, and salinity; gear type, volume of water filtered, total dry and wet weight, and other data for total haul; and data for subsamples by species. Data on zooplankton catch by species may include subsample size, zooplankton concentration, life history code, and numbers of adults, juveniles, eggs, and larvae. Estimated density of holoplankton and meroplankton and data on ichthyoplankton may also be reported. A text record is available for comments. Note: there are two options for reporting subsample counts of individuals at different life history stages. If life history codes are used, only number of adults should be reported on that record. Additional separate records should then be used to report number of juveniles and so on. Alternatively, life history codes may not be used and number of adults, juveniles, and so entered in the proper fields of a single record.

Zooplankton data were collected using zooplankton net casts in Caribbean Sea from THOMAS G. THOMPSON. Data were collected from 01 January 1995 to 27 December 1995 by University of Rhode Island; Graduate School of Oceanography with support from the Joint Global Ocean Flux Study (JGOFS).

Phytoplankton, chemical, nutrients, salinity, and other data from August 4, 1989 to September 7, 1989. Data were collected using bottle and CTD casts in the North Atlantic Ocean.

Zooplankton, chemical, and other data were collected using net, sediment sampler, and other instruments in the Great Lakes. Data were collected from 01 July 1970 to 01 March 1972 by University of Michigan with support from the Great Lakes Project and Seagrant project.

Data were collected using CTD and pump casts in the Columbia River estuary - Washington/Oregon.

Data were submitted by Center for Scientific Investigation and Higher Education, Ensenada, Mexico with support from the Investigaciones Mexicannas De La Corriente De California (IMECOCAL) project.

Zooplankton data were collected using zooplankton net casts in Coastal Waters of Washington / Oregon. Data were collected from 01 January 1969 to 31 December 1972 by Oregon State University. Report from OSU Sea Grant College Program (OSU, School of Oceanography), titled "Zooplankton Along the Continental Shelf off Newport, Oregon 1969-72: distribution, abundance, seasonal cycle and year-to-year variations". Lead author is Dr. William Peterson and is dated June 1976.

Nutrients and zooplankton data were collected from net and bottle casts from the ALAMINOS and other platforms in the South Pacific Ocean and other locations. Data were collected by Scripps Institute of Oceanography (SIO) from 31 January 1967 to 23 September 1967. Bottle data include concentrations of chlorophyll a, phaeopigment, phosphate, nitrate, ammonium, and total pigment. Zooplankton samples were obtained from oblique tows and parameters include maximum tow depth, total water volume passed through net, small plankton volume, total plankton volume, and standard haul factor.
