공공데이터포털
Data contains two versions of a Long Island Sound Data Set collected between August 9-14, 1971. Data was originally collected by SUNY at Stony Brook and automated by SCI, Inc. This data was obtained from SCI. 53 stations were sampled for chlorophyll, oxygen, nitrate, nitrite, phosphate, ammonia, and urea. Additionally, physical parameters such as temperature, salinity, density, transmissivity, and current velocity were included. The report prepared by C.D. Hardy, 1972 entitled "MOVEMENT AND QUALITY OF LONG ISLAND SOUND WATERS 1971", Marine Sciences Research Center, SUNY at Stony Brook, Technical Report #17 provides documentation regarding the data format.

Temperature, salinity, and sound speed profiles were collected from CTD and XBT casts in the N Atlantic Ocean from 03 September 1982 to 04 October 1997. Data are a subset of the Master Oceanographic Observation Data Set (MOODS).
Nutrients and chlorophyll data for Long Island Sound from 1952-03-05 to 1959-11-09 (NCEI Accession 9000037)
공공데이터포털
This dataset contains two files of nutrient and chlorophyll data for Long Island Sound collected from 1952-59. The data were originally collected by G.A. Riley, Bingham Institute of Oceanography, Yale University and were acquired by NODC from Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The quality of the data is highly questionable (according to George Heimerdinger, NODC liaison officer / WHOI). Parameters include: location, depth, temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, phosphorus, nitrogen, nitrate and chlorophyll a.

The Ocean Station Data; and Conductivity, Temperature and Depth (CTD) Bottle data from 25 casts were collected using ship R/V Weatherbird II during cruises # 791-813. The data was collected from January 1, 1995 to December 31, 1995 in Bremuda, NW Atlantic (limit-40 W) by Bermuda Biological Station for Research, Inc. and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Woods Hole, MA. The Station S data was received by NODC via internet from George Heimerdinger.
Turbidity, SOLAR RADIATION - ATMOSPHERIC and other data from MEIRING NAUDE, FRAAY R/K and FRANK HARVEY R/K in the Indian Ocean and South Atlantic Ocean from 1966-01-19 to 1979-03-23 (NCEI Accession 8200037)
공공데이터포털
This data set consists of Bathythermograph data extracted from a tape of physical oceanographic data submitted by the National Research Institute of Oceanography (South Africa). The data were collected on the MEIRING NAUDE from February 1968 to March 1979 (L00897), the FRAAY from June 1966 to September 1967 (L00898) and the FRANK HARVEY on january 1966 (L00899). The Nansen bottle data was processed by NODC. Data has been processed by NODC to the NODC standard Bathythermograph (XBT) (C116), Bathythermograph XBT Selected Depths (SBT) (C125), and Ocean Station (C100) formats. The Oceanographic Station Data (C100) format contains physical-chemical oceanographic data recorded at discrete depth levels. Most of the observations were made using multi-bottle Nansen casts or other types of water samplers. A small amount (about 5 percent) were obtained using electronic CTD (conductivity-temperature-depth) or STD (salinity-temperature-depth) recorders. The CTD/STD data were reported to NODC at depth levels equivalent to Nansen cast data, however, and have been processed and stored the same as the Nansen data. Cruise information (e.g., ship, country, institution), position, date, and time, and reported for each station. The principal measured parameters and temperature and salinity, but dissolved oxygen, phosphate, total phosphorus, silicate, nitrate, nitrite, and pH may be reported. Meteorological conditions at the time of the cast (e.g., air temperature and pressure, wind, waves) may also be reported, as well as auxiliary data such as water color (Forel-Ule scale), water transparency (Secchi disk depth), and depth to bottom. Values of density (sigma-t) sound velocity, and dynamic depth anomaly are computed from measured parameters. Each station contains the measurements taken at the observed depth levels, but also includes data values interpolated to a set of standard depth levels. The C116/C118 format contains temperature-depth profile data obtained using expendable bathythermograph (XBT) instruments. Cruise information, position, date and time were reported for each observation. The data record was comprised of pairs of temperature-depth values. Unlike the MBT Data File, in which temperature values were recorded at uniform 5 m intervals, the XBT data files contained temperature values at non-uniform depths. These depths were recorded at the minimum number of points ("inflection points") required to accurately define the temperature curve. Standard XBTs can obtain profiles to depths of either 450 or 760 m. With special instruments, measurements can be obtained to 1830 m. Prior to July 1994, XBT data were routinely processed to one of these standard types. XBT data are now processed and loaded directly in to the NODC Ocean Profile Data Base (OPDB). Historic data from these two data types were loaded into the OPDB. The UBT (C125) format contains temperature-depth profile data obtained using expendable bathythermograph (XBT) instruments. Cruise information, position, date and time were reported for each observation. The data records are comprised of pairs of temperature-depth values. Depths are selected by the originator - usually at standard horizons or some fixed interval. Standard XBTs can obtain profiles to depths of either 450 or 760 m. Special instruments permitted measurements to be obtained to 1830 m.
