Tabular dataset containing age, sex, and length data for Chum, Chinook, and Sockeye salmon. Sex was determined externally using visual clues such as snout shape and size. Length was measured from fork to mid-eye with a measuring board to the closest 5 mm. Strata refers to the potion of the run the fish was sampled during. Strata data is based on the size of the population rather than date since the salmon run does not start on one specific date year by year. Scales were also taken and placed on a gum card for age assessment. One scale was taken for all sampled Chum salmon and three scales were taken for all sampled Chinook salmon.

Over the past few years biologists and other researchers have encountered noticeable fish die-offs, mostly of young salmonid, in various stretches of Little Campbell Creek. The USFWS prepared a summary report of these events titled Frequency and Distribution of Fish Kills in Little Campbell Creek, July - September 2005. One of the most obvious reasons for the fish die-offs is degraded water quality including an increase in turbidity, and there are many reasons for this. Turbidity data was collected and reported in Turbidity Monitoring in Little Campbell Creek, Summer 2005. Some of the most obvious are inputs from the cityâs storm water system, stream channelization and its effects, removal of wetland filtering areas, and the impacts of urbanization (building of roads, construction, vegetation removal, increases in impermeable surfaces and the associated run-off of chemicals from various sources, and channeled run-off of storm water into the creek). Another USFWS report, Restoring ecological function and value to aquatic resources in the Little Campbell Creek watershed: Recommendations for the Great Land Trust summarizes the problems and some potential solutions.

Tabular dataset containing all available age, sex, and length information of Chum salmon and Chinook salmon sampled at the Gisasa Weir by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service between 1995 and 2023. Raw data were collected on physical datasheets which are stored at the Northern Alaska Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office, Fairbanks with Jeremy Carlson. Raw data were then manually transcribed to Microsoft workbooks. Sex was determined externally using visual clues such as snout shape and size. Length was measured from fork to mid-eye with a measuring board to the closest 5 mm. Strata refers to the potion of the run the fish was sampled during. Strata data is based on the size of the population rather than date since the salmon run does not start on one specific date year by year. Scales were also taken and placed on a gum card for aging. One scale was taken for all sampled Chum salmon and 3 scales were taken for all sampled Chinook salmon. NA refers to missing data.

Annual monitoring data contracted through USBR and DWR to assess the timing, composition, and abundance of salmonid emigration from the upper Sacramento River and its tributaries. Data collected here are consulted to make real-time Delta water management decisions and NMFS BO RPA triggers for protection of juvenile salmonids entering the Delta.
