This dataset contains CTD casts taken on on 7/14/16, 7/19/16, 7/21/16, 7/28/16 and 7/30/16 from small boat Pelagia in the Mobile Bay (an inlet of the Gulf of Mexico). Dataset includes 270 individual CTD casts aggregated in one netcdf file.

This dataset includes physical, chemical, and biological water sampling data collected in Saginaw Bay, Lake Huron from 2008 to 2010. These data were collected to aid in the understanding of nutrient loading, harmful algal blooms (HABs), and beach health of the Saginaw Bay ecosystem. Water samples were collected 0.5 m below the surface in 500 mL acid-washed bottles pre-rinsed with sample water, stored at 4 °C in the dark, and processed within 24 hours. Water parameters analyzed include Secchi depth, temperature, particulate Microcystin, extracted Chlorophyll-a, total phosphorus, total dissolved phosphorus, soluble reactive phosphorus, ammonia, nitrate + nitrite, dissolved silica, chloride, particulate organic carbon, particulate organic nitrogen, dissolved organic carbon, total suspended solids, and volatile suspended solids. Conductivity, temperature, and depth (CTD) casts were collected during each field sampling. Some of the casts included sensors to collect chlorophyll fluorescence, dissolved oxygen, photosynthetically active radiation (PAR), and phycocyanin fluorescence.

Three water quality stations collected salinity, temperature, dissolved oxygen, and pressure data in Mobile Bay from 7/12/16 to 8/2/16. These data files are archived as netcdf format.

This dataset contains CTD casts and salinity water samples taken from NOAA Ship Ronald H. Brown (cruise RB0903) from 2009-06-19 to 2009-07-01. A number of moored platforms for the Northwest Tropical Atlantic Station (NTAS) and Meridional Overturning Variability Experiment (MOVE) projects were serviced during the cruise. These data were used to calibrate and validate the mooring data. The CTD salinity data have been quality-controlled and adjusted using the water sample data. The raw CTD data are available from NCEI accession 0097968. Data are in NetCDF format.
