Monthly gridded sea surface fugacity of carbon dioxide (fCO2), total alkalinity (TA), dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), pH, and aragonite (Ωarag) in Mid-Atlantic Bight and South Atlantic Bight from 1982 to 2015 (NCEI Accession 0208346)
This dataset contains monthly interpolated sea surface fugacity of carbon dioxide (fCO2) from 1982 through 2015 is estimated from monthly atmospheric CO2, temperature, and salinity. Firstly, the disequilibrium between the observed seawater fCO2 and fCO2air (i.e., ΔfCO2; ΔfCO2 = fCO2 – fCO2air) is estimated using a bayesian-neural-network approach for each 1°×1° grid box in the MAB and the SAB. The input parameters are latitude, longitude, SST, and SSS. The output parameter is ΔfCO2. The feedforward backpropagation network is constructed by two hidden layers with tanh activation functions. The neural network is trained with the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm (Hagan and Menhaj, 1994). Then fCO2 is calculated using ΔfCO2 and fCO2air. Next, continuous monthly SST and SSS data from 1982 to 2015 are used to calculate output with the trained network to fill in SOCAT data gaps. Monthly pH, DIC, and Ωarag are calculated from fCO2 and salinity-derived TA using CO2SYS (Van Heuven et al., 2009) with the first and second dissociation constants of carbonic acid in seawater (K1 and K2) from Lueker et al. (2000) and borate-to-salinity ratio determined by Uppström (1974). TA is derived from salinity using their linear relationships in the MAB and the SAB (Cai et al., 2010).

Gridded surface water fugacity of CO2 observations, and calculated pH, aragonite saturation state and air–sea CO2 fluxes in the northern Caribbean Sea from 2002 through 2019 (NCEI Accession 0207749)
공공데이터포털
This dataset contains a high-quality dataset of derived products from over a million observations of surface water partial pressure/fugacity of carbon dioxide (pCO2w/fCO2w), for the Caribbean Sea, Gulf of Mexico and North-East Atlantic Ocean covering the timespan from 2003-03-01 to 2019-12-30. Prior to installation of automated pCO2 systems on cruise ships of the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and subsidiaries (Explorer of the Seas, Celebrity Equinox, Allure of the Seas), very limited surface water carbon data were available in this region. With this observational program, the Northern Caribbean Sea has now become one of the best sampled regions for pCO2 of the world's ocean. The derived quantities include total alkalinity (TA), acidity (pH), aragonite saturation state (ΩAr) and air-sea CO2 flux.

Dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), total alkalinity (TALk) and other data collected for the data validation and internal consistency for the Gray's Reef MAPCO2 Mooring in the South Atlantic Bight, Georgia, USA (31.400, -80.868) from 2018-07-25 to 2021-06-18 (NCEI Accession 0250709)
공공데이터포털
This dataset contains discrete bottle sample data for total Dissolved Inorganic Carbon (DIC) and Total Alkalinity (TAlk) samples, which were collected for validation and internal consistency analyses at the Gray's Reef MAPCO2 system off the coast of Georgia, USA in the South Atlantic Bight (31.400, -80.868). Samples were collected and immediately preserved with 0.2 µL of saturated Mercuric Chloride from 2018 through 2021. Samples were transported to the Cai-Laboratory at the University of Delaware for analysis. DIC is analyzed via a nondispersive infrared laser LICOR analyzer after 1 ml of 10% H3PO4 is injected into the sample and the CO2 gas is “stripped” out. TAlk is measured via Gran titration with HCl to an end-point of pH 3.2. The method precision is >0.1%. This effort was conducted in support of the coastal monitoring and research objectives of the NOAA Ocean Acidification Program (OAP).

The CARINA (CARbon dioxide IN the Atlantic Ocean) data synthesis project is an international collaborative effort of the EU IP CARBOOCEAN, and U.S. partners. It has produced a merged internally consistent dataset of open ocean subsurface measurements for biogeochemical investigations, in particular, studies involving the carbon system. The original focus area was the North Atlantic Ocean, but over time the geographic extent expanded and CARINA now includes data from the entire Atlantic, the Arctic Ocean, and the Southern Ocean.

Ocean acidification is an emerging priority for Fisheries and Oceans Canada under the Aquatic Climate Change Adaption Services Program and is developing the knowledge-base necessary to support the development of adaptation tools and strategies and investing in science to better understand the specific consequences of a changing climate. Specifically; the effects of ocean acidification on ecosystems in the Northwest Atlantic and large aquatic basin risk assessments consider ocean acidification at the basin and sub-basin scale are being investigated.

The AZMP was implemented in 1998 with the aim of increasing DFO's capacity to understand, describe, and forecast the state of the marine ecosystem and to quantify the changes in the ocean physical, chemical, and biological properties. 공공데이터포털
This dataset includes dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), total alkalinity (TA), salinity and temperature collected from discrete samples and profile observations around Prince Edward Island from 2015-06-30 to 2016-07-14.
