This dataset contains results from the magnetometer flown aboard the Giotto spacecraft, and recorded during its flyby of Comet P/Grigg-Skjellerup in July of 1992. It contains both raw magnetometer readings from periods during 3 July to 11 July, as well as files containing time-averages of the magnetic field vectors during the encounter period.

This data set contains the results for the Implanted Ion Sensor (IIS) of the Johnstone Particle Analyser (JPA) instrument flown aboard the GIOTTO spacecraft during its extended mission to fly by comet P/Grigg-Skjellerup. The IIS instrument produced data in three modes during the encountered, labelled as 'D4D', 'STC' and 'TOF'. The files in this data set present the results obtained in those modes in the form of flat ASCII files.

The results of the Fast Ion Sensor (FIS - inbound) and IIS (outbound) have been merged with results from other Giotto instruments. In the first submitted table, magnetometer measurements are included.
