NOAA Profiler Network (NPN) Vertical Wind Profile Data
The NOAA Profiler Network (NPN) radars provide vertical profiles of horizontal wind speed and direction from near the surface to above the tropopause. The system also generates data quality related statistics such as signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and spectrum width. There are three systems in Alaska (Talkeetna, Anchorage, and Homer), with an additional testbed site in Norman, OK. The location and ICAO ID for the NOAA NPN sites are: Norman, OK - ROCO2/KROC; Homer, AK - HWPA2/KHWP; Talkeetna, AK - TLKA2/KTLK; and Anchorage, AK - AWPA2/KAWP. Each wind profiler unit uses preprogrammed operational modes to determine the speed and direction of the wind at different heights directly above the unmanned radar site. This dataset covers the newly refreshed NPN upper air wind data, beginning with 2020. A previous NPN project covered 1991 - 2006 and is available in BUFR format for winds, moments, RASS, and surface file types.

Web Service for NOAA NWS NDFD Gridded Forecasts of Surface Wind Speed (knots) (Time Offsets)
공공데이터포털
This nowCOAST™ time-offsets map service provides maps depicting the NWS surface wind speed forecasts from the National Digital Forecast Database (NDFD) at 6-hr increments out to 3 days (NDFD has forecasts out to 7 days which are available via the nowCOAST™ time enabled map service for NDFD elements). Each forecast is valid for the specified forecast projection hour with respect to the latest update cycle time. The forecast is valid at 10 m (33 feet) above ground level. The wind speeds are in units of knots (1 knot = 1.15 miles per hour). The wind speed forecast is indicated on the map by different colors for 5-knot increments up to 60 knots (69 mph) and then at 10-knot increments up to 100 knots (115 mph). The forecasts are updated in the nowCOAST™ map service four times per day. For more detailed information about layer update frequency and timing, please reference the nowCOAST™ Dataset Update Schedule.

North American Dataset
공공데이터포털
The North American Dataset contains sets of Maximum, Minimum and Average Temperature data and Precipitation data that are either (1) raw (non-adjusted though flagged for possible quality issues), (2) adjusted due to time of observation bias (TOB) or (3) put through the Pairwise Homogenization Algorithm (PHA). These files contain North American stations and its data are measured in hundredths of degrees Celsius (without decimal place) for temperature and tenths of millimeters (without decimal place) for Precipitation. Each file includes the entire available Period of Record.

National Digital Forecast Database (NDFD) Wind Forecasts
공공데이터포털
This nowCOAST time-enabled map service provides maps depicting the forecasts of the sensible weather and marine weather elements for 12-hr precipitation probability, 6-hr precipitation amount, and snowfall forecasts. Generated by the weather forecasters at regional NWS Weather Forecast Offices (WFOs) and the National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP). The NDFD is a seamless composite or mosaic of gridded forecasts from individual NWS Weather Forecast Offices (WFOs) from around the U.S. as well as the NCEP Ocean Prediction Center and National Hurricane Center/TAFB. The time resolution of forecast projections varies by variable (element) based on user needs, forecast skill, and forecaster workload. Each WFO prepares gridded NDFD forecasts for their specific geographic area of responsibility. When these locally generated forecasts are merged into a national mosaic, occasionally areas of discontinuity will be evident. Staff at NWS forecast offices attempt to resolve discontinuities along the boundaries of the forecasts by coordinating with forecasters at surrounding WFOs and using workstation forecast tools that identify and resolve some of these differences. The NWS is making progress in this area, and recognizes that this is a significant issue in which improvements are still needed. The NDFD was developed by NWS Meteorological Development Laboratory. The spatial resolution is about 2.5 km (1.6 mi) for CONUS, HI, and Guam, 1.25 km (0.8) for PR and 3km (1.9 mi) for Alaska. The probability of precipitation forecasts are available or each 12-hour period out to +72 hours (3 days) from 0000 UTC on Day 1 (current day). Precipitation forecasts are available for each 6-hour period out to +72 hours (3 days) from 0000 UTC on Day 1 (current day). Snowfall forecasts are available for each 6-hour period out to +48 hours (2 days) from 0000 UTC on Day 1 (current day). Day 1-3 forecasts are updated hourly from 00Z to 23Z and for 12-hr precipitation probability Day 4-7 forecasts are updated at 00, 06, 12, 18, and 22Z.

Graphical Airmen's Meteorological Information (G-AIRMET) Weather Advisories
공공데이터포털
A G-AIRMET is a graphical advisory of weather that may be hazardous to aircraft, but are less severe than SIGMETs. They are valid at specific time "snapshots". The G-AIRMET forecasts are distributed in XML (USWX) format. The USWX XML files contain forecaster-created graphical objects which depict hazard areas and attributes. G-AIRMETs are issued at discrete times 3 hours apart for a period of up to 12 hours into the future (00, 03, 06, 09, and 12 hours). They are issued at 03:00, 09:00, 15:00 and 21:00 UTC (with updates issued as necessary). G-AIRMETs are issued by the AWC for the lower 48 states and adjacent coastal waters. The G-AIRMET USWX XML files are currently disseminated from AWC to the operational NGITWS system, and from AWC to the NWSTG for dissemination over NOAAPort. AWC provides the legacy AIRMET information via traditional alphanumeric code (TAC), which is currently archived at NCEI. The G-AIRMET data in BUFR format was operational from 2010 to 2022 and was not archived. This data archive includes the USWX XML formatted products starting on January 1, 2023.
