US Tuna Cannery Receipts
The data set contains receipts of tuna destined for canning, from both domestic and imported sources, at cannery locations within the 50 states, Puerto Rico, and American Samoa. Monthly data are available electronically from 1979 to present with new data currently uploaded annually (this may change to quarterly or monthly uploads sometime in 2020). Data elements include species, product condition, flag of catcher vessel, ocean area of harvest, harvesting gear type, harvesting vessel trip dates, unloading dates, carrier vessel name, location, cannery location, fishing vessel registration number, weights and dolphin-safe status. Non-summarized proprietary data are considered business confidential.

TTVP Retail Market Spot Check Audit Database
공공데이터포털
The data set contains information on retail market spot check audit purchases of tuna in airtight containers. Data are available from May 2001 to present with new data appended annually. Information includes the date, location, product type, store information where random spot check purchases were made throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. Information on purchased product allows the manufacturer, distributor or importer to track the tuna back to harvest and verify the dolphin-safe status of the tuna product.
Commercial Passenger Fishing Vessel Fishery
공공데이터포털
This data set contains the logbook data from U.S.A. Commercial Passenger Fishing Vessels (CPFV) fishing in the U.S.A. EEZ and in waters off of Baja California, from 1980 to present. These fishing vessels carry sport fishermen and target both HMS and non-HMS species. California CPFV operators submit mandatory logbooks to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW). CPFV operators in Washington and Oregon that target albacore submit mandatory logbooks to SWFSC since the implementation of the HMS Fisheries Management Plan in 2005. Logbook data contain information on locations fished, ports of landing, number of anglers, hours fished, species, number of fish kept, and interactions with marine mammals.
Tuna Morphometrics data collected by commercial fishery vessels in the equatorial Pacific in 1952 and 1955
공공데이터포털
This data set contains tuna morphometric measurements collected by Pacific Oceanic Fishery Investigations from commercial fishery (chartered) vessels in 1952 and 1955. Date, position, gear, sex and maturity, weight and length measurements were collected on the following species: skipjack tuna, bigeye tuna and yellowfin tuna.
Juvenile Tuna Lengths collected during NOAA R/V Townsend Cromwell cruise in 1967 in Hawaiian waters
공공데이터포털
Standard length only or standard length and fork length of juvenile tunas were measured during NOAA Research Vessel Townsend Cromwell Cruise 032 (12 July - 4 October 1967). Fish were caught using a new small-mesh midwater trawl. Date/time and location data from RB004AA1 were imported into the data.
Juvenile Tuna Numbers collected during NOAA R/V Townsend Cromwell cruise in 1967 in Hawaiian waters
공공데이터포털
Number of juvenile tunas and other species were counted for fish caught using a new small-mesh midwater trawl that was deployed during NOAA Research Vessel Townsend Cromwell Cruise 032 (12 July - 4 October). Counts for fish caught at station numbers 60 to 85 are provided in this dataset. Date/time and location data from RB004AA1 were imported into the data.
Larval Tuna Data collected between 1950 and 1964 in the eastern and central Pacific Ocean
공공데이터포털
Larval tuna data were collected on NOAA research vessels or charter vessels between 1950 and 1959 and between 1961 and 1964. 1955 - 1959 IATTC data were provided to Honolulu Laboratory, and PIFSC received IATTC's approval to share their data with the public. The dataset includes date, position, depth of tow, type of gear, volume of water strained, surface temperature, surface salinity and counts of tuna larvae.
American Samoa Cannery (Length-Frequency) Sampling
공공데이터포털
From 2001-2013, in coordination with Pacific Islands Regional Office's (PIRO) Tuna Treaty Monitoring Program, the Size Frequency Sampling Program at the cannery collected length-frequency data from American Samoa-based longliners, in addition to the purse seiners offloading at the cannery (which was the primary target of this PIRO program). Â Only the length-frequency data for the top 5-10 longline species were stored by WPacFIN for use in estimating weight of landings from longliners (only species and number kept/released are collected in longline logbooks). Â Only the data collected by PIRO staff on South Pacific Regional Longline Port Sampling Form were entered by DMWR staff into a database provided by WPacFIN. The bulk of this purse seine sampling program's data went to the Southwest Fisheries Science Center.
California Cooperative Oceanic Fisheries Investigations (transect)
공공데이터포털
This layer is intended to represent the geographic extent of NOAA Fisheries’ California Cooperative Oceanic Fisheries Investigations Survey transects. NOAA’s portion of California Cooperative Oceanic Fisheries Investigations (CalCOFI) started in 1949 and is led by NMFS Southwest Fisheries Science Center. This survey is managed by the Fisheries Oceanography Program, composed of the Ichthyoplankton Ecology and Ship Operations groups. These groups work to contribute to the understanding of the effects of climate change and climate variability on pelagic fisheries. Alongside informing management decisions and publishing long-term datasets, the fisheries oceanography program also tracks long-term trends in key habitat variables, assesses stock-recruit and temperature-recruitment relationships for sardine assessments and updates environmental indices. The ship operations group averages 100-120 days at sea annually. Approximately 80 percent of that time is dedicated to the California Cooperative Oceanic Fisheries Investigations program collecting data through cruises. Surveys collect biological data via trawls, acoustic monitoring, and plankton sampling.
Fish tagging data collected during NOAA R/V Townsend Cromwell cruises between 1977 and 1994 in the central and western Pacific Ocean
공공데이터포털
Tagging records of fish tagged and released were collected during NOAA R/V Townsend Cromwell cruises between 1977 and 1994. Date, location, depth, type of gear, species, species length and tag number were recorded on the collection sheet.
US Tune Purse Seine Fleet History & Activity Database
공공데이터포털
The NMFS SWR collected historical vessel information on the U.S. tuna cannery baitboat and purse seine fleets for many years. The database's first record of a baitboat entering the fleet dates back to 1927. Individual trip dates and locations for the purse seine fleet have been collected since July 1982. Fleet operations have been conducted primarily in the north eastern and western central Pacific Ocean. A quarterly fleet report was published between 1972 and 2004. Hard copies of the quarterly report are on file in the NMFS Long Beach office library. The database is historical with last updates in 2012.
