Main Roads WA - Road Network 2018
This layer comprises road centrelines for all roads controlled by Main Roads (State Roads) and all roads controlled by Local Government (Local Roads) that are assigned road numbers in the state of Western Australia. Other centreline is also included for paths and unknown roads. The Road Network are attributed with a road number as identified in Main Roads’ corporate Integrated Road Information System (IRIS) and the local government Road Management database (ROMAN). The purpose of this layer is to identify roads as identified in IRIS. This data presents the road network in Western Australia as of August 2018. Main Roads WA - State Road Network Future 2018
공공데이터포털
This layer includes road centrelines for Future State Roads that are assigned road numbers in the state of Western Australia. Future roads have completed a planning phase, but the alignment should be considered indicative only, and subject to change. This data presents the road network in Western Australia as of August 2018. For more information please visit the MRWA Open Data Portal.
Main Roads WA - Structures 2018
공공데이터포털
This layer shows the layer of Structures (road and pedestrian bridges, rail bridges, sign gantries and tunnels), in Western Australia. This layer provides general inventory information for all Structures on State roads, Local roads or Department of Environment and Conservation (DEC) roads. A road structure is that portion of the carriageway that carries vehicular, pedestrian, and bicycle traffic over or under an obstruction such as a watercourse, another road or railway line. This layer shows the location of Structures on all public access roads in Western Australia and is provided for information only. This data presents the road structures in Western Australia as of August 2018. For more information please visit the MRWA Open Data Portal.
Main Roads WA - Road Hierarchy 2017
공공데이터포털
This dataset presents a description of the hierarchy role performed by different parts of the road network. It also provides criteria to describe each road role type. The role type designated to each road should represent the role that the road is intended to perform. It may not necessarily reflect the current conditions on the road. A total of six hierarchy types are used for roads in Western Australia. The Road Hierarchy provides a high level description of the hierarchy performed by roads in the network across WA. Road management is guided by the hierarchy type of each road. This data presents the road hierarchy in Western Australia as of December 2017. AURIN took the data in August 2018. For more information please visit the MRWA Open Data Portal.
Main Roads WA - Intersections 2017
공공데이터포털
This layer shows intersections on the road network stored in the Integrated Road Information System (IRIS). An intersection is a road junction where two or more roads either meet or cross at grade (they are at the same level). The layer also details the IRIS Intersection Number. This data presents the intersections in Western Australia as of December 2017 and AURIN took the data in August 2018. For more information please visit the MRWA Open Data Portal.

Main Roads WA - Rail Crossings 2017
공공데이터포털
This layer shows the location of railway crossings for the freight or passenger rail network in Western Australia. Rail transport is a means of conveyance of passengers & goods by way of wheeled vehicles running on rail tracks. In contrast to road transport, where vehicles merely run on a prepared surface, rail vehicles are also directionally guided by the tracks on which they run. This data presents the pedestrian crossings in Western Australia as of December 2017. AURIN took the data in August 2018. For more information please visit the MRWA Open Data Portal.
Main Roads WA - Traffic Signal Sites 2018
공공데이터포털
This dataset presents the location of electronic traffic signals, designed, owned and or controlled and maintained by Main Roads Western Australia, that control vehicle and pedestrian traffic at an intersection or on a road are identified in this data set. The signal can be red, yellow, green or white light displays, and can include circular and arrow signals, pedestrian signals, bicycle crossing signals, B (bus) signals, overhead lane control signals, and twin red or yellow signals. This dataset was developed to identify the location of Main Roads' controlled electronic signals across Western Australia and assist in the management of this asset. Additionally, it records attribute information which includes the LM No (Asset ID.), Service Status, Signal Type, Intersection Name and Intersection Description. This data presents the traffic signal sites of Western Australia as of June 2018. AURIN took the data in August 2018. For more information please visit the MRWA Open Data Portal.
Main Roads WA - Traffic Digest 2018
공공데이터포털
This dataset presents the location of traffic count sites across selected roads on the road network. This layer provides the average number of vehicles and heavy vehicles for the latest year of traffic data available for the site. The traffic volumes in this layer are expressed as the average number of vehicles at each location on a typical weekday (Monday to Friday) for the metropolitan area, and a typical day (Monday to Sunday) for regions outside the metropolitan area. Main Roads undertakes traffic counting throughout Western Australia. Strategic locations are monitored on a continuous basis and are referred to as Network Performance Sites (NPS). Sampling of the wider network is performed using portable equipment over a short period. Although many Local Government roads are counted the focus is on providing information about the State road network. The Integrated Road Information System (IRIS) Reporting Centre provides a number of reports that provide traffic volume and vehicle classification reports. This data presents the traffic digest of Western Australia as of August 2018. For more information please visit the MRWA Open Data Portal.
Main Roads WA - Pedestrian Crossings 2018
공공데이터포털
This layer shows the locations of pedestrian crossings across Western Australia. A pedestrian crossing or crosswalk is a designated point on a road at which some means are employed to assist pedestrians wishing to cross. Usually a transverse strip marked on the carriageway together with associated signs & devices &/or traffic signals at which a pedestrian crossing the carriageway has right-of-way over vehicular traffic under appropriate circumstances. This data presents the pedestrian crossings in Western Australia as of August 2018. For more information please visit the MRWA Open Data Portal.

Road speed limits are used to regulate the speed of road vehicles. Speed limits may define maximum (which may be variable), minimum or no speed limit and are normally indicated using a traffic sign. Speed limits are set by the Commissioner of Main Roads Western Australia (Regulation 297 of the Road Traffic Code 2000) and enforced by national or regional police and/or judicial bodies.
