The CoOP RISE program collected CTD and water chemistry (macronutrients, chlorophyll) data during four cruises from 2004-2006 off the Oregon and Washington coast, centered on the Columbia River. CTD data are submitted separately to NODC by PI Barbara Hickey. The data included here are from discrete water samples collected by CTD Niskin bottle on R/V Wecoma.

Physical, nutrients, and other data were collected from CTD and bottle casts from the North Pacific Ocean from 19 February 1991 to 31 December 2000. Parameters include water depth, temperature, and salinity. Parameters also include concentrations of chlorophyll, silicate, phosphate, nitrate, and nitrite. Minkley, B.G., and F.A. Whitney. 2001. A review of sampling equipment outlines the conversion from 1.7 litre Niskin bottles mounted on 5/32-inch wire hydro wire to CTD/Rosette cast sampling using 10 litre bottles. Missions which supported programs for World Ocean Circulation Experiment and Joint Global Ocean Flux Studies are listed. Nutrients, temperature profile, and other data were collected using bottle casts from NOAA Ship MALCOLM BALDRIGE in the South Pacific Ocean. Data were collected from 11 July 1991 to 02 September 1991. Nutrients parameters include nitrate, nitrite, oxygen, silicate, and phosphate.

Nutrients and zooplankton data were collected from net and bottle casts from the ALAMINOS and other platforms in the South Pacific Ocean and other locations. Data were collected by Scripps Institute of Oceanography (SIO) from 31 January 1967 to 23 September 1967. Bottle data include concentrations of chlorophyll a, phaeopigment, phosphate, nitrate, ammonium, and total pigment. Zooplankton samples were obtained from oblique tows and parameters include maximum tow depth, total water volume passed through net, small plankton volume, total plankton volume, and standard haul factor.

Northeast Monitoring Program (NEMP) data was processed from NOS sources at NODC by Elaine Collins and Peter Pytlowany. The data were collected from the Chesapeake Bay Mouth, Delaware shelf, Mid-Atlantic and New York Bights from April 1980 to August 1985 using several ships. Parameters in the dataset include temperature, salinity, nutrient, chlorophyll and phaeopigment data. The data can be found in files with reference numbers L00654-L00681.

Nutrients and other data were collected using bottle, MBT, XBT, and CTD casts in the North Atlantic and North Pacific Ocean from 08 May 1956 to 14 December 1999. Data were submitted by Marine Environmental Data Service. Nutrients data includes alkalinity, dissolved oxygen, nitrite, phosphate, and silicate.

Physical, nutrients, and chemical data were collected using bottle, CTD, XBT, XSV, AXBT, thermometer, and tide gauge casts from AIRCRAFT in the North and South Pacific Ocean. Data were collected and submitted by the Naval Oceanographic Office. Data were collected from 26 June 1925 to 28 April 1996.

This dataset contains water temperature, sediments, nutrients, oxygen, pH, pCO2, plankton, and other variables taken by CTD, Niskin bottles, and bottom samples from research vessels Xiangyanghong 6 and Xiangyanghong 19 in the North Pacific Ocean. These projects collect marine sediment sample and suspended matter and other variables at the west of Western Mariana Submarine Ridge. The aim of the projects was to determine the sediment source of the marine sediment and palaeoenvironment evolution and air-sea interactions. These are US State Department MSR cruises U2014-024, U2014-028, and U2015-034. These data are part of the World Data Services for Oceanography and Geophysics. Data are in XLS, reports are in PDF.

The CoOP RISE program was designed to determine the impact of large river discharge on coastal shelf ecosystems. Macronutrient and chlorophyll data were collected as part of this project. Four cruises were completed during summers of 2004-2006 (two cruises in 2005).
