State Only Call
This state-only discussion, sponsored by the Child Welfare Technical Working Group (CWTWG) allowed child welfare information system project managers to air issues, questions, and concerns, and to develop a list of queries and comments for federal response at the end of the meeting. The topics in this open and interactive session included: Federal staff did not participate in the first half of the call, so state staff could confidentially raise topics and develop a shared list of comments and questions about CCWIS and other topics of their choice. Questions and comments were displayed on a virtual whiteboard to capture the collective voice of the child welfare information system project managers. States are currently reviewing the new Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS) regulations and assessing the impacts these requirements will have on their existing child welfare information systems. Join us as representatives from Colorado, New York, and Virginia discuss the unique considerations and challenges that county‐administered states face as they discuss a potential CCWIS implementation. Included are the following topics: This session will be participant driven, with state representatives sharing their experiences and much of the session devoted to Q&A and open discussion.
